Description

Scraps the Paper Craft, or simply Scraps, is one of the 27 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on June 14th, 2024. She is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Scraps is a charming yellow, cat-inspired paper craft Toon. Her unique, hexagonal head is adorned with pointed salmon-colored ears, each featuring a vertical fold down the middle. When her eyes are closed, two distinct magenta lines become visible, adding to her distinct look. She wears a whimsical white dress shaped like an upside-down cupcake liner, with her yellow, thin tail poking through the bottom. The tail is tipped with a magenta solo cup outlined in white, giving Scraps a playful and creative appearance. Her limbs are completed with round, salmon-colored paws, each sporting three sharp magenta claws and a thumb.

Personality

Scraps is a caring Toon who prioritizes the well-being of her fellow Toons, especially her brother Goob. While she can sometimes be forgetful and airheaded, like in her interactions with Brightney and Tisha, she generally has a good heart. Scraps also shows a more playful side in moments of immaturity, such as in her conversations with Pebble and Shrimpo. Despite these occasional lapses, Scraps remains mostly mature, always looking out for her brother Goob and ensuring she is there for him. Additionally, Scraps has a passion for crafts, as highlighted in her introduction card.

STRATEGIES

Scraps boasts the highest Stamina stat in the game, tying with Sprout, and her special Ability makes her exceptional at escaping Twisteds or reaching the Elevator during Panic Mode, as long as another Toon is within range. These strengths make Scraps a solid choice for survival-focused play. Despite having below-average Movement Speed, Scraps can still be a formidable force with the right Items and Trinkets. However, aside from this, she doesn't particularly shine in any other role.

On PC, hovering over nearby Toons or being close to them on Mobile reveals players with a white outline, indicating those you can grapple to. This is helpful for spotting teammates even through walls, but keep in mind that Scraps's ability, Crafty Grapple, requires a clear line of sight to work. It's important to choose the right target carefully when using this Ability.

TRIVIA

In a future update, Scraps will be getting a rework.
This rework will allow her ability Crafty Grapple to latch on to Machines as well as Toons.
Scraps is the older sister of Goob.
Though her appearance is cat-like, she has stated that she isn't an actual cat and just has a feline appearance.
Despite this, Scraps claims to have an appetite for fish (which can seen from dialogue with Finn) and hisses in some lines of dialogue (one with Shrimpo and one with Pebble).
She also likes yarn, as stated in Tisha's dialogue, which can be seen in her room, a common stereotype for cats.
Similarly to a real cat, her tail wags when she's annoyed or angry, as shown in her interaction with Looey.
Her name, Scraps, is a term used to describe small, leftover pieces of materials, especially taken from a bigger piece. This name may have been given to her due to her being a paper craft, which are usually made of scraps of paper.
Scraps does not mind Dandy, but would want him to not let his pet rock into the elevator, as stated in one of her interactions with Pebble.
Scraps has apparently won every prize Vee has given away on her show by getting lucky guesses on every answer.
Scraps' official catchphrase is "Oh Scrap", likely a pun on "Oh crap".
In Roleplaying Mode, Scraps shares the same room with Goob because they are siblings.
Goob and Scraps are designations R-004 and R-005. The R most likely stands for Rare.
Since Scraps is Older, she is most likely R-004.
Scraps, Sprout and Bobette share the highest base Stamina in the game (200).
If Scraps and Goob use their Abilities on each other simultaneously, they will cancel out.
The magenta lines over Scraps' eyes are actually crayon makeup.
