Description
Flutter the Butterfly, also referred to as Flutter, is one of the 27 playable Toons in Dandy's World. She was introduced on July 12th, 2024, alongside Shelly, Teagan, and Tisha. She is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.
Appearance
Flutter is a butterfly with a heart-shaped pink head and matching pink legs. She has thin antennae topped with inverted purple hearts, cyan eyeshadow, and two eyelashes per eye. She wears a light purple dress and has dark purple fluff around her neck, the same color as her antennae hearts. Flutter's wings are cyan with white heart details on the forewings, and she has two small hindwings. Notably, she is armless and has no visible mouth.
Personality
Flutter is a mute Toon, only able to communicate through simple sounds like '...' or '..!'. While she can't speak, she can still make noise, as shown when Shrimpo remarks, 'I HATE THE FACT THAT YOU'RE SO LOUD!' However, this might be more of a playful jab from Shrimpo. Despite being mute, many Toons understand Flutter and respond accordingly, as seen in her interactions with others. Flutter is kind, friendly, and always willing to help her teammates. Although she may not get as much recognition, such as in her conversation with Cosmo, where he says, 'Yeah, I just think you don't hear it enough, that it would cheer you up.' Overall, Flutter is a compassionate and helpful Toon, making a positive impact despite her challenges.
Flutter is a top-tier Toon for mobility. With high Speed and her unique Ability, Flutter excels at movement, making her perfect for quick escapes and navigation. Her primary role is to Distract Twisteds, thanks to her impressive Movement Speed and Stamina, although she struggles with Extraction compared to other Toons.
While similar to Goob in mobility, Flutter truly shines with her Active Ability. This skill allows her to escape tricky situations, quickly lose a Twisted around corners, or recharge her stamina in low-health scenarios. It's like a mini-Eject Button, especially useful for Distractors who often find themselves in high-speed chases.
Keep in mind that Flutter's dash doesn't provide invincibility, meaning she might still take damage if dashing through a Twisted. It's a bit risky, as sometimes you'll dash through without harm, but the danger remains.
Flutter doesn't require specific Items, but Healing, Speed Boosts, and Stamina Regeneration will greatly enhance her effectiveness.

- Flutter's designation could be R-001 or R-003 since Glisten's, Goob's and Scraps' are R-002, R-004 and R-005, with the R most likely standing for Rare.
- Flutter has the least amount of interactions in the game, only interacting with 9 of the Toons so far.
- She has 14 interactions in total.
- Flutter has three UGC Items, that being Flutter's Antennae, Flutter's Head, and Flutter's Wings (the wings are currently off sale).
- Her name, Flutter, means to fly unsteadily by flapping one's wings lightly and unsteadily, which can be used to describe how butterflies move around.
- Flutter is mute; she has never talked in her dialogues and has no visible mouth.
- Despite this, Rodger, who also does not have a mouth, can talk.
- One of her interactions with Shrimpo applies that he thinks she is loud, but it could possibly be the sound of her wings or Shrimpo being himself.
- It has been confirmed by Qwel that Flutter is mute.
- Currently, Flutter is the only normal Toon to have 100% Research on their Twisted as a requirement for buying her.
- In her early concept art, Flutter used to have a proboscis. It is unknown if Flutter was always meant to have a speed boost as her ability, but Twisted Flutter's proboscis was turned into a snare trap in her concept art.
- Flutter was originally going to be scrapped, but Qwelver liked her design so much that she brought her back.
- Flutter is one of the Toons that doesn't walk, Flutter flies instead. Flutter was originally supposed to walk, though. The other Toon who doesn't walk is Connie.
- Flutter seems to be good friends with Gigi.
