Introduction
This Toon knows tons about sea life! He always loves to use his knowledge of marine biology to not just educate others but to also laugh and joke with them!
Description
Finn the Fish Bowl, also known as Finn, is one of the 27 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on August 14th, 2024 alongside Cosmo, Glisten, and Sprout. He is available for purchase in Dandy's Store.
Appearance
Finn is a blue fishbowl filled with water. He sports an orange life jacket and white pants with orange stripes, along with a missing tooth. When he walks, water spills from his head, which might imply that the contents inside aren't crucial for his survival. Though there are no visible fish or objects in his head, multiple interactions mention a toy fish named Barnaby Wilikers residing there.
Personality
Finn is a lively and extroverted Toon with a passion for sea life, often sharing his knowledge with others, especially through puns. At times, Finn can go overboard with his puns, continuing even when others aren't as enthusiastic, as seen in his interaction with Glisten. He's also a bit forgetful, like when he forgets not to approach Vee too closely, based on their conversation.
Finn shares many similarities with Shelly in terms of stats and skills, which means he can be played in nearly the same way. His passive ability, Reel In, grants him a 33% speed boost whenever a machine is completed.
As Finn benefits from a speed increase during Panic Mode, it's crucial to manage his Stamina to ensure he can take full advantage of it, especially if the Twisted version of Finn is in play. Keep in mind that his speed boost doesn't completely counter the debuff applied by the Twisted Finn, so caution is still required.
Comparing Finn to Shelly, it's clear that Finn's additional speed provides more survivability, compensating for his lack of extraction skills. While Finn doesn't gain as much in terms of raw extraction efficiency, the extra heart and 8% speed boost can make up for it, depending on your playstyle.
Given Finn's low Stamina, choosing Trinkets like Well-Paced and Endurance will significantly enhance his stamina, allowing him to make better use of his passive ability. Prioritizing Stamina-based Trinkets is essential for maximizing Finn's potential. Additionally, teaming up with Astro can be a great choice for Finn, as Astro's higher Stamina complements Finn's weaknesses.

You're the best! You're really making a splash with your baking!

Finn! How are you doing today?
I'm doing swimmingly! How about you?
I'm doing well! Your puns always make me laugh!
Well, I've got a whole school of them!
Interaction with Glisten
Finn, I've been meaning to ask, what's with all the fish puns?
Oh, I just think they're fin-tastic! Don't you?
They're... interesting.
I've got tons more! Want to hear them? I'm not just fishing for compliments!
I think I'm good for now, thanks.
Interaction with Looey
Finn! Wanna hear a joke?
Shore thing! I'm all ears... well, no ears actually, but you get the point!
What do you call a fish with no eyes?
What?
A fsh! Get it? No 'i's!
Haha! That's a good one! You're really making a splash with these jokes!
Interaction with Scraps
Hey Finn, what's that in your head?
Oh, that's Barnaby Wilikers! He's my best friend!
Is he... real?
Of course he is! He's more than just a toy fish to me!
Interaction with Shrimpo
Hey Finn! Nice to see another sea creature around here!
Shrimpo! My favorite crustacean buddy! How's it going?
Pretty good! Though I've been feeling a bit... shellfish lately.
Haha! Good one! I sea what you did there!
Interaction with Sprout
Finn! How's Barnaby doing today?
He's doing great! Swimming around as usual!
That's good to hear! He's more than just a toy fish, right?
Absolutely! He's my best friend! We go way back!
Interaction with Teagan
Heya Teagan I was wondering, what type of tea do you carry?
...Carry? As in what's in my head?
Yup!
Sweet Tea.
Ooo! That's why you're so sweet!
Haha, You're too kind.
Interaction with Teagan
Finn, would you like to join my next tea party?
Nope! No interest! I only drink water.
Well... I could simply serve you water instead of tea?
You can just do that at a tea party???
I'm sure no one would mind! Please do consider the invite.
Interaction with Vee
Heya Vee!
Five feet apart from me Finn.
Why? Is it because I smell fishy?
No, because I rather not short-circuit and need repairs.
Ah, woopsie! Almost forgot!
- In Finn's head lies Barnaby Wilikers, a purple-striped plastic wind-up fish toy. This isn't visible on Finn's model, however.
- According to Finn's dialogue with Sprout, Finn considers him as "more than just a toy fish".
- This dialogue could also imply that Finn's best friend is indeed Barnaby Wilikers.
- Finn has one UGC Item dedicated to him, that being Finn's Head.
- In contrary to popular belief, Shrimpo, Toodles, Glisten and Finn are not related in any way. In other terms, they're not family at all.
- Finn and Teagan have some similarities: Both are surprise Toons with no prior promotion, and both appeared in a thumbnail for the August 14th update alongside Twisted Goob.
- Both Finn and Teagan are the only Toons who have liquids in their heads, and have to use a comically large cork while sleeping (as confirmed by Qwel).
- Contrary to popular belief, Finn's idle animation is not the same as Shrimpo's, albeit very similar.
- His name is likely a pun on the name Finn and fins, a body part most fish have.
- Dandy's dialogue when Finn is purchased implies that Finn is known for making fish puns.
- This is further proven in his interaction with Cosmo, Gigi, Glisten, Looey, Scraps, Shrimpo, and Vee; as well as a few of his dialogues when finishing a machine.
- Finn's icon has white buckles on his vest, while his model and information card artwork has black buckles.
- Finn has the potential to be one of the fastest Toons in the game if timed correctly.
- While walking, water can be seen splashing out of Finn's head every few seconds. However, this small particle effect is only seen to the user playing as Finn.
