Strategy
Connie is best understood as a survivalist extractor.
Her active ability is Haunting Escape.
Connie could be considered the best survivalist Toon in the game, combining the highest Stealth stat available with an active ability tailor-made for escaping dangerous encounters. She also has above-average Extraction Speed at 4 stars, making her great for players who want to extract Machines efficiently. However, Connie possesses low mobility statistics, with 1-star Movement Speed and only average Stamina capacity, along with a below-average 2-star Skill Check that requires some practice to play safely. Her playstyle rewards patience and positional awareness rather than raw speed.
Connie's lowest stat, Movement Speed, is something that must be mitigated one way or another, as by herself she cannot outrun most Twisteds in the game. For that reason alone, keeping Movement Speed items like a Box o' Chocolates or Speed Candy in your inventory is essential. Using Trinkets such as Pink Bow and getting speed boosts from support Toons are additional ways to make her more mobile. Without these precautions, even her excellent Stealth cannot save her if a Twisted catches her in the open with no ability cooldown available.
Focusing on her main ability, Haunting Escape, players can see its potential in helping escape sticky situations such as being chased by a Twisted that Connie cannot outrun, like Twisted Shelly or Twisted Toodles. Her ability is essentially an infinite source of Smoke Bombs with a somewhat short cooldown and short duration. Though great on the surface, some issues arise: it does not work on Ranged or Lethal Twisteds, so instead of using her ability against them, hiding or avoiding being seen by any of those categories can save you a life. Learning which Twisteds fall into these categories is critical for Connie players.
However, Connie is more than just her ability. In addition to having the highest Stealth in the game, she has immunity to Ichor Leak puddles and produces light during Blackouts, making her even better for wandering around while helping both her teammates and herself. On top of those passive benefits, her great Extraction Speed makes her ideal for completing Machines that are near distractors or in dangerous spots, so long as you do not miss a Skill Check or more given that stat is subpar. Despite all of these upsides, Connie is less than adequate for completing Dyle's Floor specifically, because her ability does not work on Twisted Dyle and she has no chance of escaping him if caught in his line of sight for too long. While completing his Floor as Connie is not impossible, it is definitely a hard task, and there are better options available.
For survivability Trinkets, Pink Bow is a core choice that enables Connie to outrun some Twisteds before Panic Mode. Pair it with Speedy Shoes to further increase run speed so she can outrun all average-speed Twisteds even during Panic Mode, or with Vanity Mirror to outrun nearly every Twisted except Twisted Pebble during Panic Mode. Train Whistle completely nullifies the Slow debuff, making Twisted Vee significantly easier to survive, while Peppermint Icing provides extra Stamina to reach safety while invisible. Star Pillow is another strong option, regenerating Stamina faster while extracting to take advantage of her average Stamina and fast extraction.
For extraction-focused builds, Magnifying Glass is the primary Trinket, allowing Connie to take full advantage of her 4-star Extraction Speed and compensate for her 2-star Skill Check. Pair it with Vee's Remote for quicker floor progression, Participation Award to speed up Machine completion by maximizing Skill Check extraction, Thinking Cap to increase Skill Check size for easier hits, or Mime Makeup to avoid attracting Twisteds when you miss a Skill Check. For ability optimization, Ghost Snakes In A Can reduces Haunting Escape's cooldown to 45 seconds, and adding Sweet Charm on top of that brings it down further to approximately 41 seconds, giving her more frequent access to her survival tool. Overall, Connie is a great survivalist and decent extractor who struggles with mobility, but this weakness can be substantially mitigated through smart Trinket choices and team coordination.
Appearance
Personality
Connie is a charismatic, mischievous, and snarky ghost who has a tendency to lie about her achievements and enjoys teasing and pranking other Toons. She becomes bored easily when others are not fazed by her antics, and can be rather sarcastic and even snappy at times, especially when upset or uninterested. Despite that, she is not malicious in nature and is said to genuinely care for close friends like Gigi. Due to her ability to become invisible at will, she has a habit of snooping on other Toons' conversations and entering their rooms, much to their annoyance, though she does this out of boredom and playfulness rather than ill intentions. In her interaction with Rodger, she seems annoyed and even despises her previous name Boolynski, berating him for using it. However, when the Halloween Toons call her by this name, she is more forgiving, likely due to her closer bond with them. She also has a sibling rivalry with her twin brother Soulvester, evidenced by her calling him out for larping as a knight and their mutual wish to not see each other for longer periods, though they do not seem to actually dislike each other. Her relationship with Brightney carries a degree of awkwardness, as their dialogues suggest, which is further hinted when Vee threatens to tell Brightney on Connie if she haunts Vee's screen.

Trivia
- Connie holds the distinction of being the first Toon publicly known to have experienced a development delay. This was caused by the departure of a former co-owner from BlushCrunch Studio, which created a significant staffing gap. She is also the first Toon to be remodeled for that same reason.
- She is the first and currently only Toon without legs, featuring a ghost-like tail instead.
- Connie is the second Toon to hover rather than walk when moving, with Flutter being the first. She shares several similarities with Flutter, including having one Event Toon sibling, 2-star Skill Check, survival-oriented abilities, and immunity to Ichor Leak puddles.
- She is the sole Toon known to have a publicly revealed scrapped render.
- Like Dandy, Glisten, and Goob, Connie originated as a personal OC belonging to Qwel, initially inspired by Epic Mickey.
- Her earliest known appearance dates to January 30th, 2024, when she was still designed as an Epic Mickey OC.
- Unlike most other Toons, Connie's name is not alliterative and does not directly reference the object she is based on. This is likely because her name predates her conversion into a Dandy's World character.
- Her favorite color is blue, as she states in her conversation with Flutter.
- She ties with Astro for the highest Stealth stat in the game. Due to Qwel using Astro's code as a base for Connie, she originally had a bugged 50% Stamina regeneration rate from Astro's passive ability, which was fixed in the v0.5.2 update.
- Her exchanges with Brightney suggest a somewhat uneasy dynamic between the two, further hinted in her dialogue with Vee.
- The name 'Connie' can be read as a pun, with the 'con' prefix alluding to her trickster personality.
- Connie and Scraps are so far the only Toons to retaliate against Shrimpo's bullying angrily.
- Connie was one of four Toons planned for the 2024 Halloween Event and is the only one that ended up being added to the game. According to Dandy's gossip, she was originally a Halloween Toon but was brought into the regular series due to popularity. Eclipse was created to replace Connie after she was transferred.
- Connie has a twin brother named Soulvester, making them the fifth set of Toons with a canonical biological relationship. Her full name was Connie Boolynski when she was an Epic Mickey OC, but Boolynski became her first name and Connie became a nickname when converted to Dandy's World.
- Connie is the first Toon to have a unique number of stars in each statistic category.
- Connie alongside Looey were both released with functioning blink and custom run animations early, making them the first Toons to have optimized animations.
- Despite being a ghost who is already dead, Connie can still get hurt and killed by Twisteds, which connects to the lore but cannot be elaborated on for gameplay reasons.
- Connie is banned from Teagan's tea parties because she once haunted the kettle for an hour and sprayed Dazzle in the face with hot tea while spinning around.
- Connie is the only Toon with a distinctly human-like appearance, reflecting the common fictional portrayal of ghosts as human-like figures.
