Strategy

Bobette is best understood as a extractor survivalist.

Her active ability is Precious Packaging.

Bobette's passive ability is Festive Aura.

Bobette is a great all-rounder thanks to her jack-of-all-trades kit. Her active ability, Precious Packaging, grants complete invincibility for 8 seconds at the cost of being unable to move, making her exceptional against both Lethal and Ranged Twisteds. Unlike Connie's ability or Smoke Bombs, Precious Packaging provides true invincibility, which makes Bobette a top pick for survivalist-style players. Use the ability around corners or against walls for best results, since most Twisteds will either move forward or turn the other way rather than stalling. Be aware that a Twisted may arrive at your location while you are still in the box, and note that Precious Packaging can occasionally bug out Twisted AI, causing them to get stuck walking into walls.

In group play, Bobette's active ability doubles as a distractor support tool. If a distractor loses sight of a Twisted, Bobette can draw aggro, lead the Twisted back toward the distractor, then use Precious Packaging to force the Twisted to re-engage the distractor. When executing this, brush against the Twisted's looping zone without getting so close that you immediately steal aggro again. If the distractor has an Air Horn, is playing Pebble with his Speak ability, or is using Scrapbook with 2-star or lower Stealth, they can often retrieve the Twisted themselves, so save Bobette's ability for when it is truly needed.

Her stat spread of 4-star Skill Check, 5-star Stamina, and 3-star Movement Speed makes her a versatile extractor and runner. She extracts at the same effective rate as Tisha due to her 2-star Extraction Speed, but pairing her with Magnifying Glass or Participation Award significantly improves her machine completion. Her excellent mobility stats also make her one of the best Toons for extracting Treadmill Machines, where both speed and stamina matter. Despite 2-star Stealth, she can be a very effective solo Toon in experienced hands, though her Main Character status reducing her heart count means extra caution is required.

Festive Aura is a powerful passive that grants nearby allies 50% faster stamina regeneration and a 25% speed boost lasting 5 seconds, functioning like a combined Stamina Candy and Speed Candy. At the start of each floor, run in a small circle near the elevator to give the entire team a speed boost. During Panic Mode, stand on the inner edge of the elevator behind the yellow line, as the aura is large enough to extend outside and still buff teammates. This passive also enables an advanced tactic called solar system kiting, where a distractor circles one direction while Bobette circles the opposite direction, providing the distractor with a consistent speed boost and stamina regeneration. This works best when Bobette equips Diary or the distractor uses Scrapbook to manage stealth interactions.

For trinket recommendations, the Pink Bow is a strong survivability pick that lets Bobette outrun all Twisteds except Twisted Dyle at max speed before Panic Mode, and it pairs well with Speedy Shoes for even more speed, Vanity Mirror to outrun every Twisted except Twisted Dyle during Panic Mode, or Star Pillow for faster stamina regeneration while extracting. For extraction-focused builds, Magnifying Glass paired with Participation Award maximizes Skill Check extraction, while Magnifying Glass plus Vee's Remote accelerates floor progression. For ability uptime, Sweet Charm reduces the Precious Packaging cooldown to roughly 73.6 seconds, and adding Ghost Snakes In A Can brings it down further to about 68.6 seconds. For solar kiting support, the Toy Kit and Diary combination lets Bobette safely assist 1-2 star Stealth distractors like Looey, Eclipse, or Gourdy with a large-radius aura buff.

Appearance

Bobette is a chubby red Christmas bauble adorned with darker red markings across her face and feet. A metallic ornament cap with a hook sits atop her head. She wears a cozy sweater with white fur lining at the cuffs and hem, decorated in varying shades of green with a repetitive cross-shaped snowflake pattern featuring three branches on each end. Stripes of dark green intersect with light green dots above and below the snowflakes, and this pattern repeats on the sleeves with more striping than on the body of the sweater. When hurt by a Twisted, her face takes on a shocked or surprised expression. Due to her larger hitbox compared to most Toons, Bobette cannot climb the benches in the lobby and cannot hide in some small corners on certain maps. Her walk and run animations differ between skins: Golden Bauble, Holly Lace, and Snow-Time use a newer animation set where her head does not wobble and her arms are raised higher, while the remaining skins use the original animations with more pronounced head wobble and lower arm positioning. Notably, the snowflake pattern on her render is actually outdated, showing heart-tipped ends rather than the pointed snowflake design used in the current game model. This was likely a last-minute design change during the 2025 Christmas Event, as many materials including Stickers, her plush, and the animated music video still use the old pattern. Bobette appears to be made mostly of fragile material, likely glass, as evidenced in The Perfect Christmas where she falls from a Christmas tree and cracks her head open.

Personality

Warm and full of holiday spirit, Bobette is an enthusiastic and cheerful Toon who thrives during the Christmas season. She is affectionate, playful, and constantly spreads joy to those around her, whether she is encouraging Sprout to team up with Ginger for gingerbread house-making or inviting Vee to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies together. She manages her own shop during the Christmas event, much like Dandy oversees his store throughout the year, and greets every Toon with open arms. However, beneath her festive exterior lies a more complex character. Her Twisted form's description hints at hidden envy that breaks free in her Twisted counterpart, who hunts down anyone she considers greedy. It has been revealed that Bobette feels underappreciated and overwhelmed by the constant cycle of giving and wrapping gifts for children each year, leaving her with little time for her own friendships. A note found in her lore room on the Seasonal Room map shows that she blames herself for these feelings and resents harboring them at all. As depicted in The Perfect Christmas, Bobette is grateful for help from the other Christmas Toons but gradually takes on all duties herself when they prove unable to assist, feeling alone and unable to be helped, which cements her descent into becoming a Twisted.

Trivia

  • Bobette is the second canonically chubby Toon, with the first being Dandy and the third being Cocoa, as confirmed by Qwelver. This likely ties into her being the Toon equivalent of Santa, who is famously chubby.
  • She was among the very first batch of Holiday Toons added to the game, arriving alongside Coal, Ginger, and Rudie, and is the first Holiday Main Character Toon.
  • Originally, Bobette had 5 stars in Skill Check and 2 stars in Movement Speed, but these were later swapped to 4 and 3 respectively. Before this change, she would have been the first Toon to have 5 stars in two stats simultaneously.
  • She is the third Toon to reach 5 stars in Stamina, after Scraps and Sprout, with Blot being the fourth.
  • Bobette is the only Holiday Main Character Toon with no 1-star stats, unlike Bassie (1-star Skill Check) and Gourdy (1-star Stamina and Stealth).
  • Her last name, Carolynne, was confirmed by Qwel during a stream and is based on the tradition of carolling.
  • Due to her larger hitbox, Bobette cannot climb the benches in the lobby and cannot hide in some small corners on certain maps. This limitation does not apply to her Golden Bauble skin.
  • Activating Precious Packaging inside the elevator when Panic Mode ends will still result in death.
  • Bobette shares many parallels with Dandy: she runs a shop selling Holiday Toons (as Dandy sells base game Toons), has a pet rock companion in Coal (mirroring Dandy's Pebble), and exists as an NPC, playable character, and Twisted variant simultaneously.
  • Bobette also shares similarities with Bassie and Gourdy, as all three are Main Character Toons of their respective events, have halved icon gradients, lack Toon Handlers, and have identical unlock requirements (100% Research on their Twisted counterpart, 3000 event currency, and 2500 Ichor).
  • Festive Aura's effects cannot be stacked, meaning standing between two or more Bobettes only provides the buff from one. The effects used to stack before a balance patch.
  • Precious Packaging's box color matches whatever skin Bobette is currently using. Holly Lace has inverted colors compared to the default, though the box colors remain similar.
  • The snowflake pattern on Bobette's render is outdated, showing heart-tipped ends rather than pointed snowflakes. This was likely a last-minute design change during the 2025 Christmas Event, as many materials like Stickers, her plush, and the animated music video still use the old pattern.
  • Bobette is one of the first three Toons to receive official voice acting, appearing in The Perfect Christmas song voiced by Milk In The Microwave. Rudie was voiced by AXIE and Ginger by Qwel.
  • Bobette appears to be made mostly of fragile material, likely glass. In The Perfect Christmas, she falls from a Christmas tree and cracks her head open, becoming her Twisted form.
  • If you enter the Lore Room on the Seasonal Room map as Bobette, she will say 'I don't remember leaving things like this,' making her one of the few Toons with dialogue outside of elevators, abilities, or machine completion.
  • Bobette's walk and run animations differ between skins. Golden Bauble, Holly Lace, and Snow-Time use a newer animation set where her head does not wobble and her arms are raised higher, while other skins use the original animations.
  • There is a known bug where Bobette's speech sound effect when dialogue bubbles appear is highly pitched, sounding like a small beep.
  • Before Bobette's Golden Quests were officially revealed, her third quest was originally going to require encountering the iced-over ichor spill event, but this was modified as the original quest would have been too difficult.
  • Bobette is the fifth Toon to appear in two separate update thumbnails (v0.6 and v0.14), and with her inclusion in v0.14.10, she became the first to appear in three.
  • Inside The Perfect Christmas and her conversation with Arthur, it is implied that Bobette is a people pleaser.
  • In her interaction with Toodles, it is implied that Rodger told Toodles Bobette's full name, similar to how he called Shelly by her full name, Miss Fossilian.
  • Bobette is the last Main Character Toon to have an in-game plush version of herself, and the third Holiday Main Character Toon to have a plush version of themself.
  • Bobette is the second Holiday Main Character Toon to have gossips, with the first being Gourdy. She is also the first female Toon to have gossips.
  • Until the second Christmas Event, Precious Packaging did not show a meter indicating when it was going to end, and Festive Aura used to only apply the 50% Stamina regeneration without the 5-second extension it currently has.
  • Bobette's favorite drinks are hot cocoa and eggnog, as seen in her gossip about Teagan.
  • The meter above the Precious Packaging box and the glow around it are the same green color for all skins, matching her default skin's sweater and dialogue box.
  • Bobette seems to understand Gourdy's situation, even making sure to not mention family in their dialogue.
  • Bobette is one of the only Toons to mention the shutdown of Gardenview.
  • The Hot Chocolate skin has a unique acquisition method: players must log in every day from December 14th to December 25th during the 2025 Christmas Event.
  • If you look inside Bobette's box when Precious Packaging is active, you can see shield particles, the same ones that appear around a Toon when Savory Charm is activated, reflecting invincibility.
  • With her original stats of 5-star Skill Check and 2-star Movement Speed, Bobette would have been the third Toon to have 5 stars in Skill Check after Shelly and Gigi.
