Strategy

Tisha is best understood as a all-rounder supporter survivalist.

Her active ability is Tidy Up!.

Tisha functions as a strong All-Rounder thanks to her well-balanced stat distribution. With 4-star Movement Speed and an impressive 4-star Skill Check, she can flexibly fill multiple roles — supporting teammates, contributing to Extraction, or stepping in as the primary Distractor when needed. Her 4-star Skill Check allows her to complete Machines at a solid rate despite her 2-star Extraction Speed, because successful checks award bonus extraction progress. Meanwhile, her 4-star Movement Speed can nearly negate the drawback of her 2-star Stamina when used strategically, allowing her to walk briskly instead of sprinting to conserve energy. On the whole, Tisha's versatile stat profile makes her a welcome addition to any team composition, though she can sometimes be outclassed by Toons that specialize more heavily in a single role.

Tisha's active ability, Tidy Up!, creates a pulse that increases the Movement Speed of all nearby Toons by 25 percent for 5 seconds on a 50-second cooldown. The pulse radius is roughly as large as the Elevator, so she needs to position herself near teammates to land the boost. Practical applications include: boosting a Toon that is close to being hit by a Twisted; boosting a teammate who has run out of Stamina (though this requires communication, since Tisha cannot see Stamina levels the way Astro can); activating early at the start of a floor to help the team fan out and locate Machines and Twisteds more efficiently; supporting a Toon who needs to reach the Elevator during Panic Mode; boosting a Distractor to help them maintain distance from a pursuing Twisted, especially if they are suffering from the Slow debuff; and boosting a Toon who is extracting on the Treadmill Machine, where the speed increase provides a direct mechanical benefit.

Players should be mindful of Tidy Up!'s pulse radius when positioning. If Tisha is too far from her target, the boost will not connect — but depending on the teammate's Stealth level, she should not get too close either, or she risks drawing Twisted aggro onto herself. If multiple Toons could use a boost but are spread too far apart to fit within a single pulse, prioritize lower-mobility Toons over ones with higher Movement Speed and Stamina, as they will benefit the most. To boost a Distractor safely, land the pulse and then immediately retreat. She should be able to boost distractors with 1-2 Star Stealth with little risk, but for distractors with 3 or more Star Stealth, Tisha should keep extra distance. A useful tactic is to hide behind an obstruction while a Distractor loops around it, then activate the pulse as they pass — Tidy Up! works through barriers, making this a safe and effective approach.

For Trinket combinations focused on Distraction, Dog Plush is the core Trinket, raising Tisha's walk speed to 19.3. Pairing it with Speedy Shoes pushes her walk speed to 20.2, enough to outwalk most Twisteds slower than Twisted Toodles and Twisted Shelly. Clown Horn or Ribbon Spool provides a conditional boost to 21 walk speed, best used when duo-distracting. Vanity Mirror paired with Dog Plush allows Tisha to out-run nearly all Twisteds during Panic Mode at 35.75 run speed. Train Whistle completely nullifies the Slow debuff, making Twisted Vee and Ichor Leak floors significantly easier to handle. Diary can support 3-star Stealth distractors without stealing aggro, and Scrapbook prevents other 3-star Stealth teammates from pulling aggro away from Tisha when she is the designated distractor.

For Extraction-oriented builds, Magnifying Glass is the cornerstone Trinket, letting Tisha capitalize on her 4-star Skill Check with a reduced skill check size of 134. Pairing it with Participation Award maximizes Skill Check extraction for an average extraction value of roughly 26.32, making her an overall decent extractor. Vee's Remote is another strong pairing for faster floor progression, especially if teammates are also carrying copies. Train Whistle provides protection from Twisted Finn's Slow debuff while extracting. For pure Ability Support, Ghost Snakes In A Can reduces Tidy Up!'s cooldown to 45 seconds, and stacking it with Sweet Charm brings the cooldown further down to approximately 41 seconds, allowing more frequent boosts throughout a floor.

When building a team around Tisha, she pairs well with dedicated Distractors who have lower mobility and appreciate her speed boosts, and with high-Extraction teammates who can compensate for her slower extraction rate on Machines. Because she cannot see teammate Stamina levels directly, pairing her with Astro creates a powerful support duo — Astro can call out which Toons need a boost while Tisha delivers it. Her requirement strategy is straightforward: focus on picking up Research Capsules and extracting Machines, as both the Machine count and Capsule count increase on deeper floors, allowing players to earn Ichor more efficiently the further they descend.

Appearance

Tisha is a light cyan anthropomorphic tissue box Toon with a cheerful, rounded form. She has three freckles on each cheek and between her eyes, and two eyelashes adorning both her upper and lower lids, giving her an expressive and endearing face. A white tissue pokes out from the top of her head like a small plume, while a second, smaller tissue is fastened at her neck in the style of a jabot, lending her a touch of refinement. She wears a dark blue bell-shaped dress with a rounded, light blue trim along its lower edge. In her Introduction Card artwork and ability animation, Tisha wields a small wooden Feather Duster with a black handle and deep brown feathers edged in light brown — the feather duster remains invisible on her model until her active ability is activated. Her hands are typically clasped neatly behind her back, contributing to her poised and proper bearing. When hurt by a Twisted, her expression shifts to a somewhat worried look, breaking her otherwise composed demeanor.

Personality

Tisha is a chipper Toon who is deeply obsessed with cleaning and has a strong dislike for anything messy or disorganized. Her fixation on tidiness is captured in her exchange with Boxten, where she declares, 'Shining, sparkling, so clean you'll need a wet floor sign!' She has a tendency to overwork and stress herself in pursuit of perfection, as implied in her interactions with Astro, Razzle and Dazzle, and Cosmo. Despite this, she refuses an offer of help from Cocoa, preferring to handle everything herself. Other Toons often ask her to clean or organize for them, which she sometimes enjoys — but she can also grow quite frustrated with repetitive cleaning requests, and may even refuse them outright, as seen in her interactions with Sprout and Astro. She wishes the other Toons were tidier and did not create as much work for her, often asking or begging them to be more mindful.

Tisha speaks politely in most cases and values some level of etiquette. When not upset, she tries to avoid causing any issues, changing the subject or reassuring others if something she says provokes certain reactions. She acts a bit more blunt or accusatory when frustrated or stressed, but this is not a common occurrence and she sometimes apologizes afterward. She can be hostile toward those who do not appreciate her efforts, like Vee. She also values punctuality.

Her relationship with Brusha is complicated and strained — she can be seen ignoring Brusha, and while she still cares about her, she cannot get past her own irritation and hurt. Considering that she gives Vee the silent treatment as well, this appears to be a pattern of behavior when she feels upset. Tisha has the most interactions with Brusha of any Toon, with four separate dialogues between them, making her one of the first Toons to have more than two interactions with another.

Trivia

  • Tisha's designation is likely C-004, C-005, or C-006, given that Poppy, Boxten, and Shrimpo hold the C-001, C-002, and C-003 designations respectively, with the C presumably standing for Common.
  • Her ability originally provided a 33% movement speed boost, which was subsequently nerfed to 25% in v0.2.1.
  • Her name, Tisha, is a feminine name of both Indian and American origins. It could also be a pun on 'tissue,' as she is a tissue box.
  • For unknown reasons, Vee and Tisha appear to have tension with one another, as seen in their silent-treatment dialogue.
  • Tisha and Shelly share a friendship, with Tisha often accompanying Shelly on her paleontological pursuits, particularly when it comes to discovering and cleaning dinosaur fossils. Coincidentally, Tisha's Mastery is needed to complete one of the three requirements to purchase Shelly, and both Toons share 2-star Stamina and high Skill Check stats.
  • Both Tisha's and Shelly's abilities grant a large boost to one of their teammates' stats — Tisha boosting Movement Speed and Shelly boosting Extraction Speed.
  • Qwel revealed during a 10/17/2024 Art Stream that Tisha owns an entire closet full of Feather Dusters.
  • When Tisha activates her ability, she sometimes says 'Gotta Sweep!' — a reference to the character Gotta Sweep from Baldi's Basics, as both characters share a similar cleaning-obsessed personality.
  • Tisha has the most interactions with another Toon in the game, having four separate dialogues with Brusha. She is one of the first Toons to have more than two interactions with the same character.
  • Tisha has some type of negative relationship with Brusha, though it is unclear how it started. A polaroid picture in the Brusha Teaser shows Tisha crossed out, likely by Brusha, as the mark matches the color of Brusha's paint.
  • There is a slight possibility that her tissue box design draws inspiration from Tissues in Inanimate Insanity, as both characters are tissue boxes with a similar blue and cyan color palette.
  • Tisha makes an appearance in BFDIA 19 — while the recommended characters are chasing Book, Tisha can be seen chasing her at the 15:33 mark. She was recommended by GUITARY_CONNIE.
  • Tisha's release alongside Shelly marked the first appearance of 2-star Stamina in the game, not counting Vee.
  • She is among a small group of Toons whose ability names include an exclamation mark, alongside Gigi, Ginger, Goob, and Pebble.
  • Tisha was the last Common Toon to be optimized, and she is the second Toon to have the same walk and run animation with a slight difference after optimization, with the first being Shrimpo.
  • The feather duster used in Tisha's ability animation is invisible on her model until her ability is activated.
  • If you enter the Art Floor as Tisha and go to Brusha's area, she will say '...Wow.'
  • Tisha and Astro have the same dialogue box color.
