Goob is one happy craft! He loves to spend time with family! His sister Scraps is never far! Goob teaches children that hugs are some of the best medicine to a frown!

Description

Goob the Fluffy Craft, also known as Goob, is one of the 27 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on June 14th, 2024. He is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Goob is a humanoid craft with a beige color, featuring a rounded square-shaped head adorned with tufts of fluff on the forehead and cheeks. His eyes are accented with light yellowish-orange blush beneath them, complemented by blue freckles on the left side and red freckles on the right. His torso is light yellowish orange, with tufts of fluff on his neck. Goob's arms are made of long, thick, noodley black strings. His left hand is blue on the right side and has red claws, while his right hand is red on the left side with blue claws. Both of his hands are large and rounded. Additionally, he sports light yellowish-orange stripes on his knees and ankles. He is commonly depicted as being cross-eyed.

Personality

Goob is a friendly and outgoing Toon with a lively personality. He is energetic and quite innocent in nature. His interactions with Rodger suggest that Goob's hugs are not strategically planned, but rather a simple belief that others need a hug. He is also known for his easy excitement and cheerful demeanor.

STRATEGIES

Goob stands out with his exceptional Mobility, ranking as one of the fastest Toons in the game, thanks to his 4 ★ Movement Speed. With the right speed-enhancing Trinkets, Goob can easily outrun and outpace most of the Common, Rare, and even some Main Character Twisteds, excluding the Twisted Pebble.

Goob also possesses 2 ★ Stealth, which matches the Stealth of Toons like Teagan, Vee, and Glisten. This makes Goob a fantastic choice for distracting Twisteds and drawing their attention away from teammates who are working on Machines. His fast Movement and low Stealth make him ideal for this role.

The core strength of Goob lies in his Ability, Goobability Hug!. This Ability allows Goob to pull another Toon toward himself as long as they are in his line of sight. It offers several useful applications, from saving teammates to assisting with movement:

► Pulling a Toon away from a Twisted
► Pulling a Toon into the Elevator
► Helping a slow-moving Toon travel faster by pulling them
► Bringing a high Extraction Speed Toon over to a Machine

Goobability Hug! is an incredibly versatile Ability that is great for assisting teammates. Goob can use his high Mobility to get into the best positions for using his Ability. Due to its wide range of uses, Goob can make use of it frequently, making it an essential tool. If a Twisted is between Goob and the Toon he's trying to pull, Goob can still safely pull them through the Twisted, as the target remains invulnerable during the pull.

In terms of Items, Goob doesn't require many Speed Items due to his already impressive Mobility, but it can be helpful to carry Stamina-Restoring Items like Bottle o' Pop, Pop, or Protein Bar to keep his energy up during extended play. Health Items are also vital for Goob, as he often puts himself at risk of being hit while serving as a Distractor.

While Goob is primarily a Distractor, his decent Extraction Speed and Skill Check stats also make him a viable Extractor when needed. This can be useful if another player wants to focus on the distraction role, or if you're not as proficient in it.

Goob used to be one of three characters who were Qwel's OCs before being added to Dandy's World, the other two being Glisten (Don't Hug Me I'm Scared) and Connie (Epic Mickey).
Goob has only one UGC Item, that being Goob's Head.
Goob is Scraps's younger brother.
Goob's name may be derived from the word goober, meaning a foolish person. His goofy smile, crossed eyes, and slightly clumsy walk are some attributes that can earn him this name.
Goob used to be able to intentionally pull Toons from the Elevator into dangerous situations with his Ability, causing them to either take damage or die. This is no longer possible in Update 0.3 and beyond.
Goob has sharp teeth, according to his Interaction with Shelly. You can actually see this when he is damaged, and in the mouth of his Twisted Counterpart.
Goob's arms do not highlight when hovered over with an Ability, likely because his hands are technically not a part of his model. This also happens for Scraps and her Twisted Counterpart.
Goob is the third tallest Toon, with the second being Razzle & Dazzle, and the first being Sprout.
Before Dandy's World was in production, Goob had a different design. His name was originally E.G.G, meaning 'Especially Good Guy'.
Goob's 'fingers' are actually claws. This is confirmed in one of his Dialogues after he finishes extractions.
Goob apparently does Scraps' make-up for her on occasion.
In Roleplaying Mode, Goob shares the same room with Scraps.
Goob and Scraps are designations R-004 and R-005. The R most likely stands for Rare.
When using his ability, Goob can say 'Come here!' or 'Get over here! Hehe!'. This is a reference to Mortal Kombat's character Scorpion.
