Strategy
Blot is best understood as a distractor support.
His active ability is Blot Jr..
Due to his poor extraction stats, Blot is best utilized as a Distractor thanks to his high mobility, with 4-star Movement Speed and 5-star Stamina. He can also fill Support and Survivalist roles effectively because of his unique Active Ability, Blot Jr., which can potentially save teammates from death when used correctly. His only significant downsides are his 1-star Skill Check and 2-star Extraction Speed, which make him one of the weakest extractors in the game.
Blot Jr. is the centerpiece of his kit. This decoy diverts Twisted attention on activation and takes aggro off of other Toons, including Shrimpo, because Blot Jr. has an astoundingly low -999 Stealth. When a Twisted kills Blot Jr., that Twisted's attack waiting time applies as if it attacked a regular Toon, effectively creating a brief stun window you can use to escape. However, be aware that if a Main or Lethal Twisted kills Blot Jr., their attack sound plays, which can temporarily cause panic among teammates who think a real Toon was hit. Always communicate when you deploy the decoy. Also note that if multiple Twisteds are chasing you when you activate Blot Jr., they will all move toward the decoy initially, but their attention immediately diverts back to you after one Twisted attacks it. Only the Twisted that actually hit Blot Jr. gets stunned. For best results, get a decent distance away first, then activate Blot Jr. and duck around a nearby corner.
Avoid using Blot Jr. near where your distractor is running their loop unless you have express permission or it is Panic Mode, because pulling Twisteds away from the distractor can endanger the entire team. Instead, use Blot Jr. strategically in these situations: stunning a Twisted chasing you or a teammate to buy escape time; during Panic Mode to divert Twisted attention away from Toons trying to reach the Elevator; as a less effective Air Horn by placing Blot Jr. behind a chased Toon to stun the pursuing Twisted and then taking aggro yourself; rounding up scattered Twisteds and handing them off to your distractor so they do not waste Stamina chasing them down; or resetting Twisted Dyle's speed meter during the TIME'S UP challenge card.
Blot Jr. costs 10 to 80 Tapes depending on how many living Blots are in the round, so avoid running too many Blots on one team. This is especially important when Sprout is also present, since both Toons compete for Tape resources. With only one to three Blots (costing up to 30 Tapes at three), the Ability stays cheap and is usable almost immediately after cooldown. Teams should coordinate Tape spending so that support tools are available when they actually change survival odds rather than being wasted on low-pressure moments.
Blot makes an excellent distractor during Ichor Leak events because he is immune to the Slow debuff and Ichor Stains, negating the risk of lost speed and obscured vision without needing a Train Whistle trinket. If the main distractor is struggling, Blot can volunteer to take over on Ichor Leak floors while the primary distractor handles slower Twisteds or rests. Blot also has particular advantages in Dyle runs, where his high Movement Speed and Stamina provide strong survivability and his Ability can reset Twisted Dyle's speed in sticky situations. His poor Skill Check can be negated with Mime Makeup, eased with Thinking Cap, or bypassed entirely on Treadmill Machines.
For trinket loadouts, Distractor Blot benefits from Dog Plush (19.3 walk speed) paired with options like Speedy Shoes (20.2 walk speed), Clown Horn or Ribbon Spool (21.0 walk speed, works half the time and best for duo-distracting), Vanity Mirror (35.75 run speed during Panic Mode), Train Whistle to nullify Twisted Vee's Slow debuff, or Scrapbook to take aggro more easily from 3-star Stealth Toons. For extraction duty, the key trinkets address his 1-star Skill Check: Vee's Remote instantly completes Machines and grants 10 Tapes, Blue Bandana skips some Skill Checks, Mime Makeup removes the danger of missing Skill Checks entirely, Thinking Cap increases Skill Check size, Paint Bucket increases both Skill Check size and chance, and Stress Ball gradually increases Extraction Speed with each successful hit. For Ability support, Ghost Snakes In A Can reduces Blot Jr.'s cooldown to 55 seconds, and pairing it with Sweet Charm brings the cooldown further down to about 50.2 seconds. Star Pillow is also worth considering, as it lets Blot regenerate Stamina faster while extracting, taking advantage of his high Stamina pool during slow extraction sessions.

Despite his somewhat eerie appearance, Blot is actually a silly, funny, witty, and decently friendly mime-like Toon. He is only capable of speaking backwards, and not all Toons can understand him. Looey, Yatta, and Vee (via a built-in translator) comprehend him fully, while Dazzle can understand him somewhat. Cosmo and Sprout sometimes grasp his meaning, and other Toons struggle unless he uses short, simple sentences. Blot often exploits this quirk to mock, tease, or make sarcastic remarks about other Toons without them knowing, though this occasionally backfires when they question what he actually said. He frequently speaks in the third person when referring to Toons he is interacting with. Alongside his cheerful and playful side, Blot demonstrates a more mature and cynical streak. He thoroughly dislikes extracting and runs in general, which may reflect his poor extraction stats. He wants to keep close tabs on his troupe, and has a love-hate relationship with Yatta in particular, sometimes screaming demands at her when fed up with her carelessness but other times finding amusement in her antics. Even so, he would not replace his friends for the world, as proven in his interactions with Vee. He shows genuine concern and empathy toward Toons who are struggling, as seen in his interactions with Astro and Boxten. Toons like Glisten, Finn, and Scraps tend to tire him out with their odd requests. As a mime, Blot loves pantomiming and is also known to use sign language. In the TV Show, Blot did not speak at all, suggesting he either taught himself backwards speech later or was taught by others.

- Blot is part of a three-Toon Circus Act known as the Circus Troupe, with his role being that of a mime. The other two members are Looey (a clown) and Yatta (an acrobat).
- Blot seems to be the calmest and most responsible member of the troupe, helping Looey find his juggling pins and telling Vee that Yatta and Looey need him.
