Dandy's World Elevator Guide
The Elevator is the bridge between the lobby and each run. Players use it to start runs, prepare Toons and Trinkets, buy early supplies, move between floors, and escape during Panic Mode.

What the Elevator Does
The Elevator starts a Dandy's World run from the lobby and continues to matter after the run begins. In the lobby, players enter an Elevator to queue alone or with a group, then use the setup window to choose Toons and Trinkets before gameplay starts.
During a run, the Elevator becomes the safe transition point between floors. After the team completes the floor objective, players need to return before the escape window closes. Failing to enter during Panic Mode is one of the clearest end-of-floor mistakes because it can remove a player regardless of how many hearts they had left.
Lobby Setup and Early Purchases
The Elevator setup window gives players a short period to confirm their character and equipment. It can also offer basic supplies for Ichor before the run begins, which makes it useful for players who want a safer start or are preparing for a specific team role.
Good setup is not only about choosing a favorite Toon. Players should check whether the team already has an extractor, a distractor, and enough support before readying up. A balanced group usually gets more value from the Elevator preparation window than a team that locks in without coordination.
Shop, Card Voting, and Floor Flow
Inside a run, the Elevator is tied to several between-floor systems. Dandy's Shop can appear in the Elevator, while card voting can shape the next floor's risk and reward. That makes the Elevator a planning hub rather than a simple loading space.
Use the transition time to review team damage, remaining items, Tape spending, and upcoming floor pressure. If the team is low on health or resources, conservative shop and card choices are usually better than chasing speed.
FAQ
What happens if you miss the Elevator in Panic Mode?
A player who does not make it into the Elevator quickly enough during Panic Mode can be killed, so returning after Machines are finished should be treated as part of the objective.
Can you change Toons before a Dandy's World run starts?
Yes. After entering from the lobby, players get a short setup window where they can change Toons and Trinkets before the run begins.
