Description

Looey the Balloon, also known as Looey, is one of the 27 playable Toons in Dandy's World, added on December 6th, 2024, alongside Connie. He is available to be bought in Dandy's Store.

Appearance

Looey is a yellow balloon Toon with mismatched green and purple ears, cheeks, and limbs. He sports a yellow balloon tail on his back and wears a white half turtleneck adorned with a green and purple polka-dot pattern. When Looey is injured by a Twisted, his head will deflate, adding a unique and characteristic effect to his appearance.

Personality

Looey comes across as a cheerful and lively Toon, often associated with a circus troupe. While he radiates positivity, he has a hidden paranoid side that he tries to conceal. He seems particularly concerned when no one is around to watch or assist him, especially during extraction tasks. All in all, Looey is a kind-hearted and energetic Toon who genuinely cares about the happiness of others, but his secret paranoia occasionally surfaces.

STRATEGIES

Looey is a highly versatile Toon, excelling in both Extraction and Distracting roles. With his low Stealth and powerful passive ability, Looey can effectively distract Twisteds. Additionally, his impressive Extraction Speed and Skill Check make him a reliable choice for extracting machines.

Looey's passive ability, Heart of Helium, is particularly useful for Distracting. However, there is a risk involved, as using this ability causes Looey to lose Heart, making the distraction strategy more dangerous. Despite this, Looey's Extraction capabilities are solid, with a strong Extraction Speed and a high Skill Check that make him an excellent choice for extracting machines.

When playing as Looey, it's important to note that his head will shrink the more hearts you lose. At 1 heart, Looey's ears are not connected to his head, and his movement speed increases significantly. Looey on 1 heart with the Movement Speed buff from Lucky Coin & Ribbon Spool or Clown Horn gives a run speed multiplier of 72.48%, which gives a run speed of 43.12, making him the fastest Toon in the game without any items and supports.

Previously, his ability was intended to increase 1 heart Movement Speed (2.5 units) for each missing heart, but a bug caused Looey to increase Movement Speed by 20% (3 units for Walk Speed and 5 units for Run Speed). The ability's description was later changed, making it an actual feature.
Looey and Poppy are good friends.
Looey's running animation is quite 'different' because of the way he's a balloon.
Looey is one of the two non-Christmas Toons to have a Christmas skin, the other being Connie.
Upon getting killed, Looey has a pop effect along with the Ichor splash.
