Twisted Guide
Twisted Glisten
Twisted Glisten is a unique Twisted who roams passively at the start of each Floor, unable to attack Toons. A meter floats above his head that determines when he transitions from passive to enraged. This meter begins empty when he first spawns and continuously fills over time. The rate at which it fills scales with the number of living Toons present on the Floor, meaning larger teams must manage him more urgently. In a solo run, the meter takes exactly 70 seconds to fill completely if no one accompanies him. The only way to reduce the meter is for a Toon to remain within his detection range where he can see them; as long as he can see any living Toon nearby, his meter will slowly deplete back toward empty.

Mechanic
He has a meter above his head that increases when a Toon is not near him for some time, and decreases when one is close. When the meter is full, Glisten becomes faster and aggressive. After you finish all the Machines, he becomes aggressive immediately. Once he is enraged, there is no way to get him back to passive.
Appearance
Twisted Glisten has a broken mirror for a head, its surface fractured by a prominent crack running across the glass and a smaller secondary crack positioned to the left and above his visible eye. A dull pink ribbon, the same one worn as a decorative bow around his Toon counterpart's waist, has been repurposed to bind his arms tightly together, as though restraining him from harming the Toons around him. His makeup is visibly smudged and streaked, and his expression conveys someone perpetually on the verge of tears. A faint red shadow colors part of his face, adding to his sorrowful appearance. In his passive state he shuffles along with bound arms, but once enraged, the transformation is dramatic: he begins weeping Ichor through his visible eye, which darkens to the deep red hue characteristic of all Twisteds. He tears free from the ribbon restraining his arms, exposing limbs coated in Ichor. His torso splits apart at the midsection, held together only by strands of the same dark substance. Consistent with his Toon counterpart, he retains white leg warmers decorated with small pink glitter dots, a subtle reminder of the character he once was.
Description
If no Toons accompany him and the meter fills completely, Twisted Glisten becomes enraged for the remainder of the Floor. In this state he gains dramatically increased speed, rising from a walk speed of 15 to a chase speed of 24, and he becomes hostile toward all Toons. While enraged he never pauses during patrol, roaming continuously in a manner similar to Twisted Flutter and Twisted Flyte. He also becomes instantly enraged the moment Panic Mode begins, regardless of his current meter level. During Panic Mode his chase speed further increases to 28.8 without the Suppression Card, making him one of the most dangerous Twisteds on the Floor. There is no method whatsoever to return him to his passive state once he has become enraged.
Twisted Glisten speaks several times throughout a Floor, providing audio cues that alert players to his current state. He speaks once when the Elevator opens as an initial warning, again whenever his meter reaches the 50 percent mark, occasionally when he spots a Toon while still passive, and once more when his meter fills completely and he transitions into his enraged state. Notably, while enraged, he does not respond to failed Skill Checks, Air Horns, or Pebble's Active Ability. His Trinket, Vanity Mirror, and the Alarm item are the primary tools for surviving encounters with him after he enrages. Additionally, Connie's and Bobette's Active Abilities do not count as Toon presence for the purpose of reducing his meter, meaning players cannot rely on those abilities to keep him calm.
How to Deal With Twisted Glisten
The most effective approach is to assign a designated Toon to watch over Twisted Glisten, freeing the rest of the team to work on Machines normally.
In his passive state, Twisted Glisten moves slowly enough for most Toons to keep pace with him. He wanders aimlessly and sometimes drifts into other Twisteds' paths, so his minder must stay aware of surroundings. If he passes near a Machine, either leave him briefly to extract it quickly or ask a teammate to take over watchdog duty. His meter takes roughly 70 seconds to fill in solo runs, so leaving him unattended for short periods to evade other Twisteds or while a teammate finishes the last Machine is viable. If he wanders near a distractor's area, maintain distance and wait for him to move on before resuming. Note that Connie's and Bobette's Active Abilities do not count as presence for meter reduction purposes.
Communication is critical since he enrages instantly when the final Machine is completed. Alert your team when you are on the last or even second-to-last Machine so his minder is not caught off guard. As the final Machine nears completion, the minder should move away from him. His Trinket, Vanity Mirror, is recommended for escaping his enraged state during Panic Mode. Alarm provides a similar effect but only lasts 10 seconds.
For solo runs, stay near him and extract Machines as you encounter them along his patrol route. If he drifts too far from your current Machine, stop extracting and follow him. When only one Machine remains, abandon him and finish it. An alternative solo strategy is to wait for his 50% dialogue, accompany him until the meter drops to 0%, then extract Machines and repeat until only the last one remains. This works best on maps with good visibility and with fast extractors like Vee, since during Blackouts he can be hard to relocate — Rodger's lens ability helps with tracking Twisteds in those conditions. If Twisted Glisten is near the Elevator, alert teammates to pause extraction until he moves away. His meter will still rise during this wait, so ensure it is near 0% before pausing. Regardless of team size, priming the Machine closest to the Elevator for last completion is always a good idea.
Since keeping Twisted Glisten calm is a priority, high-Stealth Toons like Astro, distractors who can shed followers, and support Toons with low extraction are ideal candidates for minding him. Finding him quickly is crucial because his passive state only lasts 70 seconds without anyone nearby. His meter only drops when someone is within his detection range, so low-Stealth Toons approaching him can actually help when he is nearing enrage. However, their survival prospects against him after Panic Mode may be poor.
If Twisted Glisten does enrage and you are assigned to distraction, use a high-mobility Toon such as Looey, Pebble, Blot, or Goob, and equip Dog Plush (optionally paired with Speedy Shoes, Clown Horn, or Ribbon Spool). Treat him like Twisted Pebble and loop him around structures. Note that his hitbox is smaller than Pebble's, making obstacle slowdowns less effective. If he starts closing the gap, use sprint-tapping or create distance before resuming loops. Tight loops around small islands can nearly eliminate the need to sprint.
If he enrages during a solo run, focus on survival. He behaves nearly identically to Twisted Pebble and is sometimes faster when looping obstacles. Find a long obstacle to loop around, and speed Items like Speed Candy improve your chances.
Be aware that he becomes very fast during Panic Mode and that other Twisteds will complicate looping strategies.
Recommended Toons to accompany Twisted Glisten: *Astro (situational): A solid substitute when higher-mobility Toons cannot take over. His high Stealth makes escaping enraged Glisten during Panic Mode straightforward, and he can donate Stamina to chased teammates. *Bassie: Her high Stealth and mobility make her excellent — she can easily lose interfering Twisteds, catch up to Glisten if he wanders far, and escape comfortably when he enrages. *Blot: With 4 Star Movement Speed and 5 Star Stamina, he handles enraged Glisten's high speed well. His Blot Jr. Ability supports both himself and teammates in escaping. *Connie (situational): If another Toon can relieve her, her Active Ability allows safe escape from Glisten. Her high Stealth also helps avoid Twisted interference during minding duty. However, her low Movement Speed leaves her vulnerable if her Ability or Stealth fails. *Cosmo: High Stealth and Stamina let him flee enraged Glisten during Panic Mode with minimal risk. *Cocoa: Her BonBon Ability provides a 25% Movement Speed boost for herself or Glisten's minder during Panic Mode. With 4 Star Stealth and Movement Speed, escaping enraged Glisten is manageable. Watch her lower Stamina (125). *Finn and Shelly: Their speed-boosting Passive Abilities (triggered on Machine completion) provide enough speed to outrun enraged Glisten during Panic Mode. Finn's 33% boost gives him an edge over Shelly's 25%. *Flutter and Rudie: Both can dash away when Glisten enrages during Panic Mode. Flutter is generally the better pick with her higher mobility and longer dash. *Flyte: His Ability and high speed enable him to boost and flee enraged Glisten during Panic Mode. Mind his Stamina, similar to Cocoa. *Glisten (situational): His teleport Ability is a perfect counter to his Twisted counterpart, allowing instant relocation to a teammate. Effectiveness depends on the teammate's position, and his 2 Star Stealth means enraged Glisten can spot him easily. *Goob: With 4 Star Movement Speed and Stamina, he reaches the Elevator quickly. His Hug Ability can pull slower teammates like Rodger or Connie to safety. *Gourdy: His Sugar Rush Passive grants team-wide speed on Panic Mode start, helping everyone escape. His 1 Star Stamina and Stealth are risky but offset by 4 Star Movement Speed. *Scraps (situational): Her grapple Ability allows escape to nearby Toons or Machines. Effectiveness depends on positioning, and her below-average speed makes independent escape difficult, though high Stamina provides some cushion. *Sprout: His Overprotective Passive reveals teammate locations, alerting him to final Machine extraction. His high mobility is an additional advantage. *Vee (situational): Her Passive shows Machine completion progress, useful in teams with poor communication. Ideally, let Vee extract instead; an inattentive Vee minder could be disastrous given her bad mobility. She can also help relocate Glisten if he goes out of sight.
Having Tisha on the team is also recommended — her Tidy Up! Ability helps teammates reach the Elevator or outrun enraged Glisten, performing slightly better than Flyte's Gust.
Note that enraged Glisten reaches 28.8 chase speed during Panic Mode (without Suppression Card), which means even 5 Star Movement Speed Toons — Bassie, Eclipse (Blackouts), Looey (1 Heart), Pebble, and Razzle — may struggle without Items or Movement Speed Trinkets. Being chased by Twisted Vee simultaneously compounds the problem, as Glisten's chase speed matches Pebble's running speed and is only slightly below Twisted Pebble's Panic Mode speed.
Trivia
- Twisted Glisten and Twisted Gourdy share several parallels: both their names start with G, both have dialogue (17 lines each), both have passive and enraged states with visible meters, both enrage during Panic Mode, both are male, and both their Toon counterparts have 5 Star Extraction Speed.
- Twisted Glisten, Twisted Gourdy, Twisted Sprout, potentially Twisted Dazzle, potentially Twisted Goob, and possibly Twisted Bassie are currently the only Twisteds who visibly retain some degree of sanity.
- Twisted Glisten is the second Twisted with two distinct states (passive and enraged), following Twisted Razzle & Dazzle (hostile and non-hostile) and Twisted Rodger (Capsule and Twisted form). Subsequent dual-state Twisteds include Twisted Connie (not possessing and possessing a Machine), Twisted Coal (non-Blackout and Blackout Floors), and Twisted Gourdy (passive and enraged).
- Twisted Glisten was the first Twisted to appear on the Daily Twisted Board.
- You do not need to enrage Twisted Glisten to earn Research progress — simply being in his line of sight while passive awards Research (5 percent, or 10 percent as Rodger), Tapes, and Event currencies. The same applies to Twisted Connie, who does not need to damage you.
- His meter fills faster with more Toons present. In solo runs, the passive state lasts exactly 70 seconds without anyone nearby, making management slightly easier with fewer players.
- The community has nicknamed the act of staying near Twisted Glisten 'babysitting.'
- When enraged, Twisted Glisten has the fourth-fastest chase speed in the game at 24, tied with Twisted Pebble, behind Twisted Bobette and Twisted Coal (in Blackouts) at 25, Twisted Gourdy (enraged) at 26, and Twisted Dyle (at maximum speed) at 40. He is the second-fastest Rare Twisted overall, beaten only by Twisted Coal in Blackouts, and the fastest Rare Twisted outside of Events.
- If Twisted Glisten and Twisted Gourdy spawn on the same Floor, their dialogue lines can overlap, with one appearing for only a split second, making it difficult to confirm which one is present.
- Both Twisted Glisten and Twisted Rodger use glass-breaking sound effects upon triggering, which can cause confusion when both Twisteds are on the same Floor.
- Blot Jr. does not lower Twisted Glisten's meter when placed near him, and enraged Glisten will not pursue Blot Jr. The former may be because Blot Jr. is a craft project that does not provide genuine companionship. The latter is likely because Glisten's passive state classification persists even after enraging, since Blot Jr. does not affect passive Twisteds. This behavior has since been patched.
- It is possible that Twisted Glisten does not truly intend to harm Toons — even enraged, he may simply be trying to catch up to them for company, given his retained sanity.
- While enraged, Twisted Glisten does not respond to failed Skill Checks, Air Horns, or Pebble's Active Ability.
- Twisted Glisten is eligible for a full render update, as his enraged eye was changed in v0.12.1 while his render was not updated. If updated, his change would be much more apparent compared to other Twisteds eligible for render changes like Twisted Dandy (Tapes models) and Twisted Astro (missing shorts).
- After his optimization in v0.12.1, Twisted Glisten temporarily could not blink, likely a bug that has since been fixed.
- Enraged Twisted Glisten frequently twitches when chasing a Toon. It is unknown why this happens, as he does not appear to twitch while walking.
- Before his optimization, Twisted Glisten had two different walking animations for his calm and enraged states. After optimization, only one walking animation remains for both states.
- A collision glitch exists where getting too close to Twisted Glisten's face causes player collision with his model, which is unusual since Twisteds typically have no body collisions. Getting too close to that same spot also slightly fills his meter.
- Twisted Glisten was the first Rare Twisted to be optimized.
- He is the second Twisted with a visibly broken head section, following Twisted Razzle & Dazzle and Twisted Toodles, with later examples including Twisted Gigi, Twisted Bobette, Twisted Ginger, and Twisted Ribecca. Twisted Boxten and Twisted Rudie could also count due to Boxten's possibly broken clasp and Rudie's broken left antler.
- He is the third Twisted to have Ichor visible inside his head, alongside Twisted Finn, following Twisted Boxten, Twisted Razzle & Dazzle, and Twisted Toodles (first), and Twisted Shelly and Twisted Teagan (second). Later Twisteds with visible head Ichor include Twisted Gigi, Twisted Bobette, Twisted Bassie, and Twisted Ribecca.
