Description

Poppy the Bubble, also referred to as Poppy, is one of the 27 playable Toons in Dandy's World. She was introduced on June 14, 2024, and can be selected for free as the player's starting Toon or purchased in Dandy's Store for 250 Ichor if Boxten is chosen instead.

Appearance

Poppy is a light cyan-colored bubble with a smaller bubble on the back of her head, resembling a ponytail. She features white highlights on the front of her head, the back of her smaller bubble, and on her hands. A large pink bow with a yellow center adorns her head. Her outfit consists of a pink dress matching the color of her bow, complete with a sleeveless top and a circular skirt. Poppy also wears striped pink and yellow socks that cover her legs entirely. Her body is outlined in arctic blue, adding to her charming look.

Personality

Poppy is an outgoing and bubbly Toon with an extroverted nature. She often expresses her loud and cheerful personality, especially in her interactions with Boxten and Goob. Poppy also has a keen interest in fashion, as shown by her interactions with characters like Scraps, Rodger, Pebble, and Flutter. While Poppy isn't a Distractor or Extractor, she shines as an All-Rounder, making her ideal for new players. To maximize her potential, equip her with Extraction-based Trinkets like Blue Bandana and speed-enhancing Trinkets like Pink Bow for better mobility. These combinations work well for beginners.

Poppy is an excellent choice for those new to the game due to her ability to recover from mistakes. While her ability to boost speed after losing a Heart helps with learning, it can be less effective for experienced players who might find it more challenging to benefit from this mechanic. Her balanced stats help new players avoid issues with low Stealth or Speed, but she doesn't offer enough to be competitive at higher levels. If you're more advanced, consider choosing Boxten for a more specialized playstyle. However, if you enjoy playing Poppy, Flutter can be a great progression choice.

Advanced strategies with Poppy's ability include sacrificing a Heart to help a teammate escape a Twisted, especially when they can't outrun the threat. With Blushy Bat equipped, Poppy can take hits and boost her speed, allowing both you and your teammate to escape safely. This tactic is especially useful when protecting key characters like Shelly or Sprout, who can heal you afterward.

During Panic Mode, when the elevator seems out of reach, it's often better to walk, regain stamina, and intentionally take a hit to get a speed boost, ensuring a quicker escape to the Elevator. In this case, it's safer than rushing without stamina and failing to reach the Elevator in time, which leads to an instant death.

Poppy owns a drink company as she is printed on every vending machine of it in all of the map and the company being named "Poppy Pop".
Poppy has two UGC Items, those being Poppy's Bow, and Poppy's Head.
Her name, Poppy, is a pun on both the name Poppy and her status as a bubble, which makes a popping sound.
