Description

Mime Makeup is one of the usable Trinkets found in Dandy's World and is a Twisted Trinket. It was added on May 23, 2025, alongside Star Pillow. It is obtained by achieving 100% Research on Twisted Blot.

Mime Makeup appears as a bottle with three shades resembling Blot's color scheme with a note/title on it alongside a paintbrush with a blob on it. It also displays face powder having a clover-like detail in the center of the powder, and resembles an uncolored Dandy logo. There is a black bottle cap that seals the bottle closed.

Strategies

This Trinket is best used for Toons with 1-Star Skill Check, such as Shrimpo, Bassie, Cosmo, and Blot himself. Mime Makeup completely nullifies the risk of alerting Twisteds with failed Skill Checks, making it safer for 1-Star Skill Check Toons to extract.

This Trinket can be paired with Magnifying Glass even on 1-Star Skill Check Toons. Although the heavily reduced Skill Check Size may result in frequently failed Skill Checks if the user is not proficient with small Skill Checks, Twisteds will not hear it — including Twisted Astro, Twisted Vee, Twisted Dandy, and Twisted Dyle, who all have incredible hearing range.

This Trinket is especially helpful in countering those Twisteds. Twisted Astro will not steal Machine progress from a failed Skill Check. Twisted Vee's pop-ups will not put the user in danger when blocking vision during a Skill Check. Twisted Dandy and Dyle will not ambush based on failed Skill Check sounds. Twisted Dyle additionally becomes a significantly reduced threat, as he will usually only reach maximum speed from failed Skill Checks, so he will only increase in speed if he spots the player directly.

Mime Makeup can also make Ichor Leaks less dangerous, as the Illness III Debuff decreasing Skill Check size does not entirely matter if Twisteds will not be alerted. Mime Makeup can serve as an alternative to Thinking Cap — either the extra size to avoid failing Skill Checks in the first place, or a guarantee of safety while extracting. Considering that Thinking Cap is more obtainable, it may be a better choice in some scenarios.

Trivia

  • Upon using the trinket and failing a Skill Check, the player will receive the message 'This time, they can't hear you...' instead of the normal Skill Check failed message. A quiet click and beep will play instead of the usual buzzing sound, though bubbling is still heard.
  • Circle Machines will still play the buzzing sound upon failure, although Twisteds still will not be alerted. This is likely a bug.
  • Despite Mime Makeup affecting the player's Skill Check, it was labelled as an Extraction Trinket upon release. This was fixed in v0.10.2, where it was moved to the Skill Check category.
  • Mime Makeup is the second trinket to make sound, the first being Savory Charm.
  • This Trinket might be the makeup Blot uses.
