Eclipse

Eclipse is a playable Holiday Toon in Dandy's World who was introduced during the Halloween Event on October 10, 2025. She is a rare werewolf character available for purchase at Gourdy's Store for 1500 Pumpkins, provided the player already owns five or more Toons. Eclipse arrived alongside Gourdy, Ribecca, and Soulvester as part of the seasonal Halloween roster, making her one of the limited-availability Toons that can only be obtained during the event window. Her werewolf theme and Blackout-focused kit set her apart from the rest of the Halloween lineup, giving players a reason to prioritize her if they enjoy aggressive, high-mobility gameplay. Eclipse carries a stat line of 3 Health, 3-star Skill Check, 4-star Movement Speed, 3-star Stamina, 2-star Stealth, and 3-star Extraction Speed. Her naturally high Movement Speed combined with low Stealth channels her into the distractor role, where she can draw Twisted attention away from teammates working on Machines. Her Skill Check and Extraction Speed ratings sit at a serviceable middle ground, meaning she can contribute to floor progression when no immediate distraction duties are required. While her base Stamina of 150 is average, her passive ability dramatically changes this ceiling during Blackout phases. What truly defines Eclipse is her passive ability, Total Eclipse, which triggers automatically whenever a Blackout begins. Upon transformation, she gains a 60 percent Stamina increase and a 20 percent Movement Speed boost, along with an expanded glow radius that helps her navigate and track Twisteds in darkness. This Blackout-exclusive power spike transforms her from a competent distractor into one of the most dominant mobility Toons in the game, capable of outrunning nearly every Twisted without any Trinket assistance. Eclipse is the first Rare Toon to possess a Passive Ability rather than an Active one, and she is notable for being able to achieve the highest maximum Stamina of any Toon in the game when her buffs stack with the right perks and Trinkets. Her dual nature as a standard-capable Toon in lit conditions and a powerhouse during Blackouts makes her a uniquely versatile pick for any team composition.

Strategy

With 4-star Movement Speed and only 2-star Stealth, Eclipse is built for the distractor role. Her low Stealth means Twisteds will naturally gravitate toward her over stealthier teammates, which is exactly what a good distractor wants. Her 3-star ratings in both Skill Check and Extraction Speed ensure she is not a liability when no Twisteds are actively threatening the team, allowing her to contribute to Machine completion at a reasonable pace during quieter moments on each floor. Her passive ability, Total Eclipse, raises her maximum Stamina by 60 percent and Movement Speed by 20 percent during Blackouts, while also slightly expanding her glow radius. These combined buffs give her 240 base Stamina and 21 base Movement Speed, allowing her to outperform Pebble in both speed and endurance and matching the pace of a 1-star Looey. Be aware, though, that she is completely immobile for 5 seconds at the start of a Blackout due to her transformation animation. During this brief window, she cannot be detected and will lose aggro from any Twisted that had already spotted her, which can be both a blessing and a curse depending on the situation. Smart Eclipse players will use this forced pause to assess Twisted positions before committing to a distraction path. While transformed, her speed allows her to comfortably outpace Twisteds like Twisted Pebble and Twisted Gourdy. Even without Trinkets, Eclipse can outwalk every Twisted during Blackouts (outside Panic Mode) except for Twisted Bobette, enraged Twisted Glisten, Twisted Coal in a Blackout, and Twisted Pebble. However, Twisted Vee's Slow II effect can make distracting more challenging in limited visibility. Long-range Twisteds such as Twisted Goob can also pose problems, so having a secondary distractor handle them is advisable. Her expanded light radius further enhances her effectiveness in darkness, and while some Toons have an even larger glow, the combination of Eclipse's enhanced mobility and illumination makes her one of the strongest picks for Blackout situations overall. For Trinket loadouts focused on distraction, the Dog Plush is the cornerstone choice, boosting her walk speed to 19.3 normally and 23.1 during Blackouts. Pairing Dog Plush with Speedy Shoes pushes her walk speed to 20.2 normally and 24.25 in Blackouts, enough to outwalk Twisteds slower than Twisted Toodles and Twisted Shelly. For even faster outwalk potential, Clown Horn or Ribbon Spool paired with Dog Plush reaches 21 walk speed, though this combination only procs half the time and works best when duo-distracting with another player. Vanity Mirror combined with Dog Plush gives her 35.75 run speed normally and 42.9 during Blackouts, enabling her to outrun almost all Twisteds during Panic Mode while the Mirror is active. Train Whistle is a strong pairing against Twisted Vee and Ichor Leaks, as it completely nullifies the Slow debuff. If most players in the lobby share Eclipse's 2-star Stealth, Scrapbook prevents other equally stealthy Toons from inadvertently pulling aggro away from her. For extraction-focused builds, Magnifying Glass is the primary pick, letting Eclipse capitalize on her 3-star Extraction Speed and Skill Check ratings. Pairing it with Vee's Remote accelerates floor progression, particularly when multiple teammates carry the same Trinket. Participation Award maximizes Skill Check extraction for faster Machine completion, while Train Whistle protects her from Twisted Finn's slowdown during extraction. Spare Bulb is a niche but useful standalone option that further increases Eclipse's light radius for maximum visibility in dark conditions, though older devices may experience slight lag from the expanded glow effect. Eclipse pairs exceptionally well with dedicated healers like Tisha and Flyte, who can keep her alive through the inevitable hits that come with sustained distraction duty. Running Eclipse alongside a secondary distractor such as Pebble or Bobette creates a rotation system where one distractor rests and recovers stamina while the other holds aggro, which is especially valuable on longer floors or when multiple Twisteds spawn simultaneously. Her stat line mirrors Ginger's in an inverted fashion, so teams benefit from having both since they cover opposite strengths. In full lobbies of eight players, Eclipse's Blackout dominance becomes even more pronounced because the larger team benefits more from having a reliable distractor who can keep multiple Twisteds occupied while the rest focus entirely on Machines and extraction.

Appearance

Eclipse is a blue-gray bipedal werewolf with digitigrade legs, making her the third Toon with non-plantigrade feet after Rudie and Cocoa. A sea pink crescent moon emblem sits prominently on her forehead, serving as a visual marker of her lunar connection. Her snout, the front of her torso, the tip of her tail, and the insides of her ears are all a noticeably paler shade of gray compared to the rest of her body, creating a natural two-tone fur pattern. The tips of her ears and her paws are colored in a deeper dark blue, adding contrast to her overall silhouette. Around her shoulders, she wears a short black shawl trimmed with sea pink edging that matches the crescent emblem on her forehead. She has the third instance of visible sharp teeth among all Toons, following Goob and Yatta. When a Blackout occurs and her Total Eclipse ability activates, Eclipse undergoes a visible transformation: her pupils narrow into thin slits, she grows slightly taller in stature, her ears become noticeably fluffier, and her smile widens to reveal a full set of sharp fangs. The crescent moon on her forehead also appears to glow more brightly during these events, and she is the first Toon whose facial expression visibly changes when her ability is active.

Personality

Eclipse brims with enthusiasm, as demonstrated in her conversations with Gourdy. She actively tries to pump up her teammates and build excitement for upcoming floors. During Blackouts, however, she takes on a noticeably more aggressive and unhinged demeanor (reflected in her facial expression). This shift likely stems from her werewolf instincts intensifying in the darkness, sharpening her predatory drive. The crescent moon on her forehead appears to glow more brightly during these events, lighting her way and aiding her in tracking down Twisteds. Her slight increase in size during Blackouts may also correspond to a physical power boost, explaining why she can sprint for longer stretches (thanks to her Stamina buff).

She regards her fellow Toons as members of her pack. Her frequent howling is probably one reason behind her 2 Star Stealth rating — Twisteds are known to be drawn toward loud noises like her howls. Her Twisted counterpart's ability to attract roaming Twisteds reinforces this connection. Her howling could also serve as a way of signaling her pack's location or announcing the completion of a Machine (which may tie into her Moon Pack Trinket mechanic). In the elevator, her howls are meant to rally everyone's spirits.

Trivia

  • She is the third bipedal Toon with non-plantigrade legs and feet, following Rudie and Cocoa.
  • She is the third Toon to display sharp teeth, after Goob and Yatta.
  • Eclipse is the first Rare Toon to possess a Passive Ability rather than an Active one.
  • Although her ability description states she gains two extra Stamina Stars during Blackouts (which would equal 200 Stamina), her Stamina actually increases by 60%, effectively granting roughly four additional stars by default.
  • Whether this discrepancy is a bug or a description error remains unclear.
  • If the ability truly added 2 Stars in percentage terms, her Stamina would only need to increase by approximately 33.4%.
  • Eclipse can achieve the highest maximum Stamina of any Toon in the game.
  • An Eclipse player who selects both Well-Paced/Endurance, completes Dyle's Floor, and then enters a Blackout will reach (150+20+50)*160% maximum Stamina, totaling 352.
  • That is equivalent to roughly 7-star Stamina with 2 extra units.
  • Adding both Cooler and a maxed Friendship Bracelet pushes her to (150+20+50+50+40)*160%, or 496 Stamina capacity — nearly 12 Stars (11.84 Stars precisely).
  • While in her transformed state, Eclipse retains her normal walk and run animations when extracting a Treadmill Machine.
  • She also uses the standard extracting animation in this form, which causes her head to clip into the Machine and her hands to float above the valve.
  • Dialogue between Connie and Eclipse reveals that Eclipse was created as Connie's replacement after Connie departed from the Halloween cast.
  • A bug previously existed where using Vee's Remote during the Blackout transformation would prevent Eclipse from completing that Machine.
  • Her dialogues with Astro and Looey confirm that Eclipse enjoys howling at the moon — a natural behavior for her werewolf nature.
  • Dialogue with Ribecca reveals that Eclipse has a tendency to zone out occasionally.
  • This makes her the third Toon who may have a staring habit, after Pebble and Coal — notably, all three are canine characters.
  • She is the first Toon whose facial expression changes when her ability is active.
  • Cosmo could arguably qualify as well, though his face changes to his hurt expression since his ability requires sacrificing a heart.
  • Eclipse is the second Toon with an ability that only activates during Blackouts, alongside Brightney.
  • Eclipse and Ginger have mirrored and inverted stat distributions.
  • Applying the opposite modifier to Eclipse's stats (+1 Movement Speed Star becomes -1) produces Ginger's exact stats. Swapping Eclipse's Movement Speed Star count with her Stealth Stars also yields Ginger's stat line.
  • A dialogue between Eclipse and Brightney reveals that Eclipse envies bright lights — fitting for a werewolf who is always drawn to the moon.
  • Her Howling Moonstone Skin features a blue four-pointed star on her forehead rather than the usual crescent or full moon.
