Appearance
Twisted Toodles has a dark gray 8-ball for a head, featuring a white spot on the forehead bearing a gray number "8" that is largely obscured by Ichor. The top of her head is cracked open and actively dripping, revealing a disturbing mass of internal Ichor beneath the fractured shell. She has smeared, messy black blush beneath her eyes, lending her an exhausted and unhinged look. Consistent with her Toon counterpart, she wears a white sleeveless dress with a gray hood and two black drawstrings hanging from it. Her face is dominated by an unnervingly wide, fanged grin paired with a dark shadow between her eyes, and Ichor drips steadily from her mouth. Her right hand and both legs are heavily stained and coated in Ichor. When she spots a Toon, her demeanor shifts dramatically as her pupils shrink to pinpoints and her left eye begins twitching uncontrollably, signaling her transition from idle roaming to an aggressive pursuit state.
Description
Twisted Toodles is an Uncommon roaming Twisted in Dandy's World, released on June 14, 2024. She is the corrupted counterpart of Toodles and possesses no special mechanics beyond standard roaming and chasing behavior. Despite her Uncommon classification, she is one of the most threatening enemies players will encounter on most Floors due to her exceptionally high chase speed of 20, which ties her with Twisted Shelly for the seventh fastest Twisted in the game and makes her the fastest Uncommon Twisted overall.
What balances her raw speed is an extremely brief attention span of just one second, the shortest of any Uncommon Twisted. This means she loses track of Toons very quickly and can be shaken with just a few sharp turns around corners or obstacles. Her detection range includes a 25-unit circular vision radius, a 50-unit direct vision cone, and a 125-unit hearing radius, all of which are relatively modest for a Twisted of her threat level.
She carries the Dog Plush Trinket and was originally classified as a Common Twisted prior to v0.2.0. Her reclassification to Uncommon was driven by the fact that her speed far outpaced other Common Twisteds and she posed a danger level more consistent with rarer enemies. This promotion makes her the first and only Twisted to have undergone a rarity change during the game's history.
How to Deal With Twisted Toodles
Twisted Toodles is a roaming Twisted without any special mechanics, which makes her behavior straightforward to understand but no less dangerous to deal with. Reflecting her Toon counterpart's youthful nature, she has an extremely brief attention span of one second and loses track of Toons quickly once line of sight is broken. However, she ranks as the seventh fastest Twisted in the game, tied with Twisted Shelly, and is easily one of the most dangerous enemies on any Floor outside of Dyle's Floor. Her low attention span works to the player's advantage: making three sharp consecutive turns is usually enough to shake her off your trail entirely. Because she lacks any special mechanic like enrage phases or area denial, the entire counterplay revolves around managing her speed versus your own movement capabilities.
Toons with 3-Star Movement Speed or higher should find escaping her fairly straightforward, as her short attention window means ducking behind a box or any obstacle that breaks line of sight is usually sufficient. With those faster Toons, you can outrun her by more than 5 speed units, giving you ample distance to find cover and wait for her to lose interest. On the other hand, Toons with 1-Star Movement Speed face significant difficulty since Twisted Toodles' chase speed of 20 exactly matches their sprint speed, meaning she will never fall behind in a straight line. If you are playing a slow Toon, call out her position to teammates immediately, especially if your team includes Shrimpo, Soulvester, or Connie, who are particularly vulnerable to her pursuit. Equipping Trinkets like Pink Bow or Speedy Shoes can help bridge the speed gap and turn a losing chase into a survivable one.
For dedicated distractors, breaking her line of sight is rarely a problem given her speed limitations relative to faster Toons. However, distracting with only 4-Star Movement Speed can still be tight even with Dog Plush and Speedy Shoes equipped, as the speed margin between you and her becomes dangerously slim. Pebble is an excellent choice for sustained distraction duty, remaining viable even during Panic Mode thanks to his superior base speed. Monitor your distance from her closely and sprint whenever she starts gaining ground, then slow down to conserve stamina once you have a comfortable lead. Repeating this push-and-pull cycle until the rest of the team reaches the Elevator is an effective strategy that preserves your Health and also works against Twisted Shelly and other high-speed Twisteds.
During Panic Mode, her speed slightly surpasses Twisted Pebble's chase speed, making her exceptionally dangerous in the final stretch of any Floor. Once all Machines are complete, navigate toward the Elevator with extreme caution, particularly if you are playing a slower Toon below 3-Star Movement Speed such as Vee or Rodger. Coordinate with your team so that faster players can serve as decoys while slower ones make their way to safety. In Panic Mode, there is no room for error with her, as a single wrong turn can result in a quick elimination.
Her dark color scheme makes her considerably harder to spot during Blackouts, where she can blend into shadowy corridors and ambush unsuspecting players. Compensate by checking around corners carefully, making use of Brightney's or Vee's Abilities to illuminate your surroundings, and staying near light-producing Toons whenever possible. In Ichor Leak scenarios, her high chase speed compounds the slowdown effect from Ichor Puddles, creating situations where she can close distance rapidly on debuffed players. Avoid puddles when possible and always check your surroundings before walking through one to ensure she cannot catch you off guard while you are slowed.
Be aware that from behind, Twisted Toodles looks remarkably similar to her normal Toon counterpart due to the similar dress and silhouette, so always verify before approaching what appears to be a friendly Toodles. This visual similarity can be especially deceptive during hectic moments or Blackouts. A quick check for the Ichor stains on her legs and the cracked head is the fastest way to distinguish her from the real Toodles before it is too late.
Trivia
- Prior to v0.2.0, Twisted Toodles was classified as a Common Twisted. She was promoted to the Uncommon tier because her speed far exceeded other Commons and she posed a threat level comparable to rarer Twisteds. This makes her the first and only Twisted to undergo a rarity change. Her vacated Common slot was subsequently filled by Twisted Tisha.
- Her short attention span is derived from her character description and likely reflects her young age. It could also be interpreted as her attention being erratic and random, paralleling her Toon counterpart's Beginner's Luck Ability, which grants a random stat bonus. However, Gourdy is also a child and his Twisted counterpart does not share this low attention span, likely because he is a Main Twisted.
- The cracked head may contribute to both her short attention span and her low detection range, as the damage could imply brain injury. Her head may have been damaged by colliding with a wall or the Elevator, or she may have been attacked by a Main Character Twisted like Twisted Pebble or a Lethal Twisted like Twisted Dandy, with the resulting injury also contaminating her brain.
- Twisted Toodles holds the shortest attention span among all Uncommon Twisteds at one second.
- She is the first Twisted to have a visibly broken section of her head with internal Ichor exposed, a trait later shared by Twisted Razzle and Dazzle, Twisted Glisten, Twisted Gigi, Twisted Bobette, Twisted Ginger, and Twisted Ribecca. Twisted Boxten and Twisted Rudie could also qualify due to his possibly broken clasp and broken left antler respectively.
- She is also the first Twisted to have Ichor shown inside of her head, a feature later shared by Twisted Boxten, Twisted Razzle and Dazzle, Twisted Shelly, Twisted Teagan, Twisted Finn, Twisted Glisten, Twisted Gigi, Twisted Bobette, Twisted Bassie, and Twisted Ribecca. Twisted Ginger could also count, though it is unclear whether the Ichor originates from inside her head or simply sits on top of the bite mark.
- Before v0.3.0, Twisted Toodles had the second-fastest chase speed in the game at 20, behind only Twisted Pebble (and currently Twisted Bobette and Twisted Coal during Blackouts) at 25. She was subsequently overtaken by Twisted Glisten (24 in enraged state), then Twisted Cocoa (21), and then Twisted Gourdy (26 in enraged state). Including Twisted Dyle at full speed (40), she sits at the sixth position. She shares her chase speed with Twisted Shelly and remains the fastest Uncommon Twisted in the game.
- Twisted Toodles' animations have been changed twice in quick succession. The second animation change was made to prevent players in Roleplay Mode from simulating inappropriate acts, and the first was changed due to the original animation being created during a brief scandal at BlushCrunch Studio. She originally ran on all fours like a wild animal, reflecting her feral nature. After v0.4.0, she was changed to run upright with arms outstretched in a zombie-like fashion, matching her cracked-open head. Shortly after, the animation was revised again to resemble an infant's crawl, fitting her young age while making her fast crawling speed appear unsettling. The original animal-like chase animation was restored in v0.13.10 with her optimization, though the forward head-bobbing motion was removed, as that feature likely enabled the animation abuse in Roleplay Mode.
- She holds the record for the most reworks of any Twisted at 4 total: two animation changes, one rarity change in v0.2, and her optimization in v0.13.10. Counting her optimization, her chase animation was modified three times across these reworks.
- Her attack face bears a resemblance to Twisted Yatta's expression.
- She is one of the few Twisteds eligible for a full render change, as her render shows Ichor on her right arm that does not appear on her in-game model. This may be a UV map error in her optimized model, as suggested by a developer response from KING MOB on Discord.
- Twisted Toodles and Twisted Cocoa have notably similar stat profiles: both feature high chase speeds paired with low attention spans. Despite Twisted Toodles being Uncommon and Twisted Cocoa being Rare, the only stat differences are her 4-unit higher roaming speed, 1-unit lower chase speed, and 0.2-second longer attention span.
