Ribecca
Ribecca, often referred to as Ribecca the Skeleton, is a playable Event Toon in Dandy's World who was released on October 10, 2025, as part of the Halloween Event alongside Eclipse, Gourdy, and Soulvester. She is a Common-rarity Halloween Toon available for purchase in Gourdy's Store for 300 Pumpkins, making her one of the most accessible Event Toons in the game. Her skeleton-themed design and debuff-immune Passive Ability give her a distinctive identity among the roster of playable characters. Ribecca fills the All-Rounder role with a perfectly balanced stat spread of 3 stars across every category — Skill Check, Movement Speed, Stamina, Stealth, and Extraction Speed. This makes her one of five Toons who share this identical stat distribution, alongside Eggson, Rudie, Poppy, and Boxten. Her even stats mean she has no glaring weaknesses but also no standout specialization, which places the emphasis squarely on her Passive Ability as her defining feature. With 3 Health, she sits at the standard baseline for survivability. What makes Ribecca particularly valuable is her Passive Ability, The Undead, which grants complete immunity to all applied debuffs. This includes Slow, Tired, Illness, Confused, and Ichor Stains from Ichor Leak puddles, though it does not affect trinket-based effects. For newer players still learning how debuffs work, Ribecca provides a safety net that removes one of the game's most punishing mechanics entirely. For experienced players, her immunity scales well into deeper runs where debuff-applying Twisteds and Ichor Leak floor events become increasingly frequent, allowing her to maintain consistent performance where other Toons would be hindered.

Strategy
Ribecca is a strong All-Rounder Toon whose Passive Ability, The Undead, grants her complete immunity to all applied debuffs. This includes Twisted Vee's Slow II on chase, Twisted Astro's Tired III, Illness III, Slow I, and Ichor Stains from Ichor Leak puddles, among others. This sweeping immunity renders the above Twisteds and any other debuff sources nearly harmless to her. Because she is easily accessible during the Halloween Event for just 300 Pumpkins, Ribecca is an excellent pick for newer players who find debuffs difficult to manage. Her balanced 3-star stats across all categories mean she performs adequately in every role without excelling in any single one, which makes her a reliable generalist from the moment she is unlocked.
While her Passive provides outstanding debuff protection, it has one minor drawback: it prevents you from immediately detecting Twisted Shelly upon her spawn via the usual Confused I debuff indicator that appears over your head. However, this is easily mitigated by turning up your audio volume to listen for Shelly's distinctive footsteps, or by having a teammate who can highlight Twisteds for the group. In practice, this trade-off is negligible compared to the enormous benefit of total debuff immunity. Additionally, Twisted Finn's Slow III debuff — which can be devastating in both solo and team runs — is completely nullified by Ribecca's Passive. In solo runs especially, this immunity to Twisted Finn means Ribecca can safely finish the last Machine without fear of being slowed to a crawl, a scenario that would cripple most other Toons.
Although Ribecca is designed as a beginner-friendly Toon with a powerful Passive, new players may want to consider learning debuff management on a different Toon first. Players who rely heavily on Ribecca's immunity may find themselves at a disadvantage when they eventually switch to a Toon without this protection. That said, this depends entirely on your personal progression preferences, and you are free to play whatever Toon suits your style. Just keep in mind that understanding debuff counterplay is a valuable skill, especially if you plan to take on a distractor role as you progress and unlock more Toons. The gap between a player who understands debuff timing and one who does not becomes increasingly apparent on deeper floors.
Despite seeming like a purely beginner-oriented ability, Ribecca's Passive actually scales remarkably well into longer runs. As Main Twisteds appear more frequently in later floors, her debuff immunity lets her handle Twisted Vee and Twisted Astro with ease — passing them to distractors or pulling them away from teammates without worrying about debuff effects. When Twisted Shelly is on the Floor, Ribecca is capable of extracting faster than most other Toons since she suffers no Confused debuff, only being outpaced by Toons with 5-star Extraction Speed, above-average Skill Check in some cases, and certain Trinkets. Ichor Leak floor events also become more likely the further you go, and Ribecca is not affected by them whatsoever, greatly improving her survivability and extraction capabilities during these events. With all of that considered, she makes a surprisingly decent solo Toon for deep runs, as debuffs can be far more impactful when you have no teammates to help you mitigate their effects.
Her 3 stars in all stats means she does not have any specific strengths or weaknesses, so you can select Trinkets and focus on collecting Items that best revolve around your playstyle or mitigate your personal weaknesses. For survivability-focused Trinket combinations, Pink Bow is a strong core option that enables Ribecca to outrun all Twisteds outside of Panic Mode except Twisted Dyle at max speed (26.9 run speed). Pair Pink Bow with Speedy Shoes for even higher run speed (28.2), or with Vanity Mirror to outrun every Twisted except Twisted Dyle during Panic Mode (35 run speed). Alternatively, combine Pink Bow with any extraction-focused Trinket for a balanced setup. For extraction-focused builds, Magnifying Glass lets Ribecca take full advantage of her 3-star Extraction Speed (1.00) and Skill Check (100.5 skill check size). Pair it with Vee's Remote for quicker Floor progression, especially when teammates also carry one, or with Participation Award to maximize Skill Check extraction speed. It is NOT recommended to use Train Whistle on Ribecca, as her Passive already nullifies the Slow debuff, making that Trinket's benefit entirely redundant.
In team compositions, Ribecca's debuff immunity makes her uniquely effective as a secondary extractor who can operate in areas affected by Ichor Leaks or near debuff-applying Twisteds without losing efficiency. She can freely work on Machines in zones that would slow down or impair other extractors, and she can serve as a reliable anchor during Panic Mode since no Twisted can debuff her on the way to the Elevator. When building a team around Ribecca, pairing her with a dedicated Distractor and a high-Extraction-Speed Toon like Glisten or Vee creates a well-rounded squad that covers both survivability and floor progression speed.
Appearance
Personality
Qwelver has described Ribecca as a 'girlboss' based on her overall design, conveying confidence and a strong-willed nature. Beyond this characterization, Ribecca is established as both an artist and a costume designer, as revealed through her dialogue with Gourdy and the details shown on her Introduction Card. She has a clear passion for fashion and creative expression, which aligns with her visually distinctive outfit. Despite her strong aesthetic sense, Ribecca is generally kind-hearted and approachable, with her dialogues suggesting she is relaxed, chill, and easygoing in her interactions with other Toons. Her laid-back attitude contrasts with her fashionable exterior, making her a well-rounded character who is both creative and personable.

Trivia
- Ribecca, Eggson, Rudie, Poppy, and Boxten all share identical stat distributions (3 stars across all categories).
- This does not apply to Razzle & Dazzle, whose Passive Ability alters their effective stats.
- Her name is a portmanteau combining 'rib' with the feminine name 'Rebecca,' fitting her skeleton design, as confirmed by Qwelver on Discord.
- Her Haunted Topic skin is a reference to the popular clothing store brand Hot Topic, which was notorious for its 'emo' attire in the 2000s.
- According to one of her floor-descending dialogues, Ribecca is frequently cold, which is likely because she is a skeleton and may not be able to produce body heat.
- Connie, being a ghost, also gets cold easily, as referenced in her own dialogues — suggesting an in-universe parallel between skeletal and ghostly Toons.
- This frequent coldness may also explain why Ribecca wears a sweater-style jacket despite being a skeleton.
- A dialogue with Gourdy hints that Ribecca's limbs are detachable and can be reattached, a fitting trait for a skeleton character.
- Ribecca was the first teased Halloween Toon, following a pattern where Common-rarity Event Toons are the first to be shown — in the Christmas Event it was Rudie, and in the Easter Event it was Eggson.
- Ribecca's interaction with Pebble plays on the classic association between dogs and bones, given that she is a skeleton.
- Ribecca's name is misspelled on her Information Card as 'Ribbeca the Skeleton' instead of the correct spelling 'Ribecca.'
- Ribecca is the first Toon to have Ichor Leaks as part of her Mastery requirements, though the game refers to it as an 'Ichor Spill' in the mastery text.
