Twisted Bassie stands considerably taller than her standard Toon form and has undergone dramatic changes. The flowers and leaves atop her head look crushed and wilted, stained heavily with Ichor that drips down over her face and basket handles. Her legs have been entirely replaced by tangled Ichor roots, and flowers sprout from her right shoulder, from which extends a long, vine-like arm made of Ichor that terminates in a claw, replacing her original right arm. Her eyes now feature red sclera, black irises, and tiny red pupils, with a purplish-brown shadow between them. The iris of her left eye is noticeably larger than the right. Her expression suggests pain, with the left half of her face appearing paralyzed or exhausted and the right half showing a frenzied, restless intensity. Ichor tears stream from her right eye, with additional Ichor seeping from her mouth and covering parts of her neck. During a chase or when alerted by a failed Skill Check, her expression becomes manic and excited, and her left eye closes.
Twisted Bassie features a unique trap-based mechanic. She places six flower traps at specific points across the map. Walking into or near these flowers inflicts the Slow III and Tired II Debuffs, reducing Walk Speed by 50% and Stamina regeneration by 50%. Additionally, when she spots a Toon, Twisted Bassie freezes in place and sends a long vine shooting toward the target. The vine initially applies Slow II, but after roughly 3 seconds, large spikes erupt from it, dealing 1 point of damage to anyone standing on them. Once the spikes recede, Twisted Bassie locks onto the Toon she previously spotted regardless of their Stealth stat, with a significantly extended attention span.
Twisted Bassie effectively combines the threats of Twisted Vee, Twisted Scraps, Twisted Sprout, and Ichor Leaks: she slows Toons on sight, launches a damage-dealing projectile that always tracks toward a Toon, and scatters flower patches across the Floor that reduce movement speed and hinder Stamina recovery. Low Movement Speed Toons such as Shrimpo, Soulvester, and Connie will struggle heavily with both navigation and escape due to their base 1 Movement Speed. Make a mental note of where each flower trap is placed, avoid those areas during chases, and keep track of Twisted Bassie's position to dodge her vines.
Avoiding her flower traps is generally straightforward if you note nearby unobstructed islands and stay aware of trap locations. Speed items like Box o' Chocolates or Eject Button can help you pass through them more quickly, though you may want to save these for faster Twisteds like Twisted Pebble or enraged Twisted Glisten. If you are being chased, steer around the flowers whenever possible.
When a flower blocks access to something important like a Machine or healing Item, make sure the more dangerous Twisteds are at a safe distance before attempting to interact. You can also keep speed items on hand so that if a Twisted initiates a chase, you can sprint away without getting caught in her flowers.
Her vines are substantially harder to deal with. When you notice Twisted Bassie spotting you (identifiable by the sound she makes), try to determine her location, especially during Blackouts, and move perpendicular to her direction. The vines are relatively narrow, so sidestepping by a small amount can work. If other Twisteds are chasing you or blocking alternate paths, find a different route since the spikes that erupt from the vines can obstruct your escape long enough for another Twisted to land a hit. However, Twisted Bassie herself is stunned while her vines are active, so you can potentially move toward her and circle around.
If you need to distract her, her slightly above-average speed is manageable for 5 Star Movement Speed Toons or 4 Star Movement Speed Toons with at least Dog Plush. To handle her vines while distracting, stick to open areas where the vines will not cut off your looping route. Treat it similarly to distracting Twisted Scraps and Twisted Sprout by positioning the vines somewhere they will not block you. Keep in mind that Twisted Bassie remains stationary the entire time her vines are out, so make sure she does not end up blocking your loop path. Also ensure no flower traps are nearby.
Her vine stun can actually work in your favor, acting as an effective 5-second freeze. Just stay clear of the vine itself.
Ribecca is fully immune to Twisted Bassie's Slow and Tired Debuffs through her Passive Ability, The Undead, which substantially reduces the threat level. However, the extended attention span, above-average speed, and vine attacks can still pose problems. Ribecca can traverse the Floor freely without worrying about flowers and can dodge vines more easily. She is also well-positioned to rescue teammates who are vulnerable to debuffs, particularly those with low Movement Speed, Stamina, or Health. That said, the vines and any accompanying dangerous Twisteds still require caution.
In summary, think of Twisted Bassie as a combination of a delayed long-range attack and an Ichor Leak. If you have experience handling those mechanics, she should feel manageable.

View all Trinkets →- Her flowers previously blocked Twisteds' vision unless they were standing inside them. A similar bug once occurred with Ichor Leak puddles providing cover from Twisteds, which was fixed for Ichor Leaks and then eventually corrected for Bassie's flowers in v0.17.
- She is guaranteed to spawn on Floors that are multiples of 20 during the Easter Event, making her Research easier to collect, similar to Twisted Bobette and Twisted Gourdy during their respective events.
- She produces eerie bird-like or ghost-like sounds, somewhat resembling a cross between a pigeon cooing and wind whistling through branches.
- She is the first Main Twisted whose face displays two distinct expressions simultaneously, appearing half-conscious with one side looking sad or depressed and the other appearing crazed, similar to Twisted Razzle & Dazzle.
- She is the second Main Character Twisted (and Twisted overall) with a mechanic that spawns traps, the first being Twisted Sprout. Additionally, she is the only Main Character Twisted that spawns two different trap types, the flowers she passively places and the vines she launches upon spotting a Toon.
- She is the fourth Main Character Twisted that does not directly inflict Debuffs on Toons, after Twisted Pebble, Twisted Sprout, and Twisted Bobette. Her flowers apply Slow III and Tired II and her vines apply Slow II, but technically it is the traps dealing the effects rather than Twisted Bassie herself.
- She does not play the standard Main Character hit sound, instead sharing hit sounds with normal Twisteds. This may be lore-related given her ambiguous position in the main cast, or simply an oversight similar to Bobette's missing dialogue sound.
- Lore-wise, Twisted Bassie appears to try helping other Twisteds catch Toons, possibly reflecting her Toon counterpart's tendency to compare herself to others and her fear of being replaced.
- She shares chase speed with Twisted Astro, Twisted Eclipse, Twisted Gigi, and Twisted Yatta.
- The sound she makes when spotting a player is similar to her second idle sound, but at a higher pitch.
- Like Twisted Astro and Twisted Pebble, she originally did not leave Ichor footprints, but she received them in the 2026 Easter Event.
- Her flowers still apply the slow effect even when an Eject Button is used, though the item clears the lingering debuff as soon as the player exits the flower.
- Before the 2026 Easter Event, Twisted Bassie could not spawn vines, and her flowers did not apply Slow III directly or Tired II.
- She is the second Twisted with two different attention spans (normal and post-vine), following Twisted Coal. However, the vine deployment takes some time, so if you remain hidden from her afterward, the effective attention span drops to roughly 5 seconds. She is the first Twisted capable of having two different attention spans on a single Floor, whereas Twisted Coal switches between them based on whether a Blackout has occurred.
- She is the first and currently only non-passive Twisted able to ignore Stealth during a chase. This altered target priority is a side effect of her active vine ability, which also grants the elevated attention span.
- She is the second Twisted to reach the highest attention span when her ability is active, after Twisted Ginger, who has that attention span at all times.
- Her flower traps were reduced in size during the 2026 Easter Event.
- Missing a day on the Easter calendar causes that day to be covered by Twisted Bassie's vines.
- Lore suggests that her transformation embodied multiple personalities and emotions, possibly triggered by her fear of being replaced. These are represented by her split expression, with one half appearing manic or rageful and the other heavy or depressed. These dual personalities are also explored in the "Wilting" song, where she sings about feeling sad, angry, and out of her mind.
- Her flower traps share a notable thematic similarity with her Research Trinket, the Whispering Flower.
- Despite both of Bassie's Toon abilities involving Items, Twisted Bassie is the only Holiday Main Twisted without an Item-related mechanic. Twisted Bobette can hear Item pickups and Twisted Gourdy has a meter that resets when given Items.
- She is the only Holiday Main Character Twisted without a custom attack sound.
- She is the second Twisted with voice lines in her Twisted form, as heard in Wilting, making her the fourth Twisted shown to be capable of speech, after Twisted Glisten, Twisted Gourdy, Twisted Bobette, and Twisted Sprout.
