Strategies

This Trinket is effective for almost every Toon, increasing Stamina regeneration to 4.8/s while on a Machine. Low Stamina Toons, such as Shrimpo, Yatta, and Gigi benefit greatly from the significant Stamina regeneration boost, enhancing their survivability. High Stamina Toons, like Blot, Sprout, and Scraps also gain advantages, as the Stamina regeneration allows them to run way longer than they would without the boost. Slower Toons, like Connie and Soulvester also benefit greatly, as they'll need to have plenty of Stamina for potential chases.

This Trinket is also beneficial for Treadmill Machines. You won't have to worry as much about being low on Stamina from sprinting and being interrupted by a Twisted. Since your Stamina will quickly regenerate, it allows you to sprint more, extracting faster. Bobette is a good candidate here with her high Stamina capacity synergizing with the fast regeneration. Finn and Shelly are also good candidates due to their passive Abilities giving them large speed boosts for every Machine completion.

This Trinket may not be entirely suitable for Toons that excel in Extraction Speed. Glisten and Vee, who can finish a Machine in approximately 20 seconds by default, wouldn't benefit as much. It is not recommended on distractors, as you would only benefit from it while doing a Machine, which is something you will rarely do as a distractor.

Best Users and Why It Plays Better Than It Reads

Star Pillow is strongest on Toons that regularly leave Machines with low Stamina and then have to survive one more rotation immediately afterward. Shrimpo, Yatta, Gigi, Soulvester, Connie, Bobette, and many non-distractor picks feel the value very clearly because the trinket turns machine time into recovery time.

That practical loop is why Star Pillow is stronger than a lot of players expect. It does not only help you stay on a Machine. It helps you leave the Machine ready to move again, which is what actually preserves runs.

When to Use It and When to Pass

Use Star Pillow when your runs break down because you arrive at the next chase or rotation with empty Stamina. It is particularly good on Treadmill Machines, on low-Stamina Toons, and on players who want more forgiving transitions between objectives.

Pass on it when your Toon already clears Machines so fast that the recovery window barely matters, or when you are playing a dedicated distractor who spends too little time on Machines to convert the effect. In those builds, movement, utility, or direct extraction trinkets can be more efficient.
