Appearance

Twisted Flutter is a stark departure from her original Toon counterpart. Her once-colorful wings have darkened to solid black and now display a gray heart outline on each pair, complete with a subtle dripping effect that gives them an ominous, corrupted feel. The edges of her wings are jagged and uneven, suggesting they have been torn or warped by the twisting process. Her formerly cute heart-shaped antennae have sharpened into menacing points. Thick Ichor coats her legs and back, adding to her unsettling silhouette. Her eyeshadow has become runny and translucent, streaking around her eyes in a way that resembles smeared tears. In keeping with all Twisteds, her eyes glow red with additional concentric red circles visible within each iris, and a purple shadow falls across her face. A particularly unnerving detail is that her right eye twitches visibly whenever she is actively chasing a Toon.

Description

Twisted Flutter is a fast Rare Twisted who relentlessly hunts down Toons in a manner similar to Twisted Toodles. Although she is slower than Twisted Toodles in raw speed, she compensates with a notably higher detection range that allows her to spot Toons from a greater distance. Her elevated circular and direct vision ranges also give her superior peripheral awareness, letting her notice players approaching from the sides or even behind her more easily than Twisteds with standard detection values.

What truly sets Twisted Flutter apart is her complete lack of idle time. Unlike the vast majority of Twisteds who pause briefly at patrol nodes, she never stops moving — not even for a single frame. This means she cycles through her patrol route at a relentless pace, returning to previously visited locations far sooner than players might expect. Her walk speed of 18 sits extremely close to her chase speed of 18.5, so there is virtually no perceptible difference between her patrolling state and her active pursuit, making her approach difficult to read at a glance.

Released on July 12, 2024 alongside Twisted Shelly, Twisted Teagan, and Twisted Tisha, Twisted Flutter occupies the Rare rarity tier. Her associated trinket is the Diary. The combination of zero idle time, near-chase-speed roaming, and above-average detection range makes her one of the more oppressive Twisteds to share a Floor with, particularly in open areas where cover is scarce and Machine extraction demands extended exposure.

How to Deal With Twisted Flutter

Twisted Flutter has stats comparable to an average Twisted on paper, but her defining trait — constant near-chase-speed patrol with absolutely zero idle time — demands constant vigilance and patience from every player on the Floor. She can disappear from an area briefly only to loop back to her previous patrol nodes almost immediately, catching unwary players mid-extraction. If you have average or below-average Movement Speed, position yourself near obstacles that block both her patrol path and her pursuit angle. She may abruptly lose interest in a chase only to spot you again moments later, wasting the Stamina you spent fleeing the first time.

Her relentless roaming speed means she can revisit the same location multiple times in quick succession, making Machine extraction in her patrol zone extremely time-consuming. For this reason, fast extractors like Gourdy or Yatta are particularly valuable teammates. The ideal approach is to complete Machines before Twisted Flutter patrols into detection range, rather than trying to finish under pressure once she arrives. Coordinate with your team so that someone watches for her approach while others focus on extraction.

Distractors will find Twisted Flutter straightforward to handle. Her chase speed of 18.5 merely matches Twisted Teagan's, so her roaming mechanic poses no additional challenge once you have drawn her attention. Dedicated distractors can kite her away from Machine zones with minimal risk, buying precious seconds for extractors. Because she never idles, however, she will resume patrolling the instant she loses interest, so distractors should be prepared for rapid re-engagement cycles rather than long cool-down windows.

During the Easter Event, Spring Fever transforms Twisted Flutter into one of the most dangerous Twisteds on the Floor alongside Twisted Flyte. The Energized II Buff dramatically increases both her roam and chase speed, pushing her past even Twisted Pebble's roaming pace. Open-area Machine extraction becomes especially hazardous, as her boosted speed lets her ambush players with almost no warning. On the positive side, the secondary Spring Fever effect — Dazed II — halves her attention span, which means she will break off pursuits sooner than normal. Savvy players can exploit this by baiting short chases and using the shortened attention window to slip away before she re-acquires line of sight.

Advanced players should note that her detection range of 30 circular vision, 65 direct vision, and 135 hearing radius is higher than standard. This means crouching or approaching from behind is less effective against her than against most Twisteds. Plan your routes through the Floor with her patrol in mind, favoring corridors with solid cover over open hallways. Listening for her audio cues is critical, as her 135-unit hearing radius means she can detect footsteps and Machine interactions from a considerable distance.

When building a team for Floors where Twisted Flutter appears, prioritize a balance of speed and extraction efficiency. Having at least one dedicated distractor and one fast extractor dramatically reduces her threat level. The Diary trinket, associated with Flutter, can also provide situational advantages depending on your team composition. Communication about her patrol position is key — calling out her location allows the entire team to adjust their Machine order and avoid unnecessary encounters.
