Incessantly roams around the map, identically to Twisted Flutter.

Appearance

Twisted Flyte closely resembles his standard Toon counterpart, though corruption has visibly overtaken much of his body. His wings and back are completely stained with dark Ichor, and the once-round, soft markings on his wings have become angular and sharp edged. The clovers adorning his antennae have similarly warped into jagged, pointed shapes. He wears a perpetually angry expression that shifts to something even more openly resentful whenever he spots a Toon or detects a failed Skill Check. His makeup is visibly dripping down his face in streaks, adding to his unsettling appearance. His eyes now feature red sclera, black irises, and red slitted pupils, while a bluish dark gray shadow sits between his eyes, giving his gaze an especially menacing quality.

Description

Twisted Flyte is an Uncommon Twisted introduced during the Easter Event alongside Twisted Bassie, Twisted Cocoa, and Twisted Eggson. As a Holiday Twisted, he is only available during the Easter Event and cannot be encountered outside of it. His defining behavior is constant, uninterrupted roaming across the map, functioning identically to Twisted Flutter in patrol style.

With a walk speed of 17 and a chase speed of 17.5, Twisted Flyte sits below the threshold of most Toons at full sprint, making him one of the less threatening Twisteds in terms of raw speed. His chase speed matches that of a Toon with 4-Star Walk Speed, meaning only the slowest characters are genuinely at risk of being caught. His attention span of 2 seconds is brief, so he will disengage from chases relatively quickly if line of sight is broken.

His detection range includes a 30-unit circular vision radius, a 65-unit direct vision cone, and a 135-unit hearing radius. While his hearing radius is moderate, his continuous movement means he can stumble into Toons unexpectedly. Despite his limited individual danger, his nonstop roaming can create pressure when combined with more threatening Twisteds on the same floor, forcing players to account for his unpredictable pathing.

How to Deal With Twisted Flyte

For slower Toons like Connie or Vee, Twisted Flyte presents a modest threat because his chase speed of 17.5 can potentially outpace their base movement. However, since this speed only matches a 4-Star Walk Speed Toon, the majority of the roster can outrun him at a full sprint without difficulty. Carrying a speed-boosting Item such as Speed Candy can substantially improve your odds of escaping him if you are playing a slower character, but even without one, most Toons will pull away from him within a few seconds. The key risk with Twisted Flyte is not his raw chase speed but his continuous movement, which means he can round a corner and catch a player mid-Skill Check with little warning.

His detection range of 30 circular vision, 65 direct vision, and 135 hearing radius means that audio cues are your biggest liability around him. Failed Skill Checks produce noise that falls well within his hearing radius, and because he never stops patrolling, he may already be moving toward you before you realize he is nearby. To exploit his detection weaknesses, position yourself so that walls or obstacles block his direct line of sight when working on Machines. His circular vision of 30 units is relatively short, so staying outside that radius while he passes by is often sufficient to avoid triggering a chase entirely.

Because his speed falls below that of faster Toons like Pebble, players on distraction duty should stay relatively close to him when Panic Mode is not imminent. Losing his aggro too easily could redirect him toward teammates who are working on Machines, and his continuous roaming means he will quickly find new targets. Keep him engaged without overcommitting Stamina, since his short 2-second attention span means he will lose interest quickly once you break line of sight. A useful technique is to briefly enter his direct vision cone, let him begin pursuit, then duck behind cover to reset his attention timer.

Trinket and item selection against Twisted Flyte should focus on speed and awareness. Scrapbook, his associated Trinket, is useful for managing Stealth-related encounters in general. Speed Candy remains the best direct counter for slower Toons. If you are already carrying items for more dangerous Twisteds on the same floor, there is little need to dedicate inventory space specifically for Twisted Flyte, since most encounters with him can be resolved through positioning alone.

During Panic Mode and Blackout phases, Twisted Flyte becomes marginally more dangerous because reduced visibility makes it harder to track his patrol path. Since he never stops moving, he can close distance during a Blackout while players are disoriented. Prioritize memorizing his last known direction of travel before a Blackout begins, and avoid running blindly into corridors where he may be patrolling. During Panic Mode specifically, his constant roaming means he covers more ground than stationary Twisteds, so give extra clearance to areas where he was last spotted.

On floors with multiple Twisteds active simultaneously, Twisted Flyte functions as a persistent area-denial threat rather than a direct danger. His nonstop patrol can funnel players into the paths of more lethal Twisteds if you are not tracking his position. In team compositions, assign a faster Toon to periodically call out his location so the group can route around him. Communication about his current position is especially valuable during the final Machines on a floor when Panic Mode is approaching. Overall, the strategies that apply to Twisted Flutter work equally well against Twisted Flyte. The main differences are his 1-point-lower walk and chase speed compared to Flutter and his Uncommon rarity, which makes him a lower-priority threat. Treat him as a less dangerous counterpart to his sister and focus resources on more threatening Twisteds when multiple enemies share the same floor.

Trivia

  • Twisted Flyte flies, much like both the Toon and Twisted forms of his sister Flutter, unlike his own Toon counterpart who does not fly.
  • During the Easter Event's development, Twisted Flyte was originally designed to walk and run on his feet, but this concept was scrapped before release.
  • Twisted Flyte was the first Easter Twisted to appear on the Daily Twisted Board, though he was only listed for a span of 4 hours and 58 minutes since Twisted Astro had been on the board prior to the Easter update.
  • Twisted Flyte was introduced on April 18, 2025 as part of a batch of four Easter Event Twisteds, alongside Twisted Bassie, Twisted Cocoa, and Twisted Eggson.
  • He shares the exact same detection range values as his sister Twisted Flutter: 30 circular vision, 65 direct vision, and 135 hearing radius.
  • Twisted Flyte and Twisted Flutter are the only two Twisteds in the game that share the incessant roaming mechanic, never stopping to idle at patrol nodes.
  • His walk speed of 17 and chase speed of 17.5 are each exactly 1 point lower than Twisted Flutter's corresponding speeds of 18 and 18.5.
  • As a Holiday Twisted tied to the Easter Event, Twisted Flyte is classified as Limited Content and cannot be encountered outside of the event period.
  • Twisted Flyte is one of the few Twisteds whose expression visibly changes in response to detecting a failed Skill Check, shifting from angry to more openly resentful.
  • His associated Trinket is the Scrapbook, which is shared with his standard Toon counterpart Flyte.
  • Despite being categorized as Uncommon rarity, Twisted Flyte has the same 2-second attention span as the Rare-tier Twisted Flutter.
