Appearance
The Astro Room is a floor themed around astronomy. Everything is painted in different shades of blue and a little bit of purple. The walls are decorated with a pattern of stars and glitter, there is a miniature copy of the solar system, some rooms are decorated with stars and mini spaceships hanging from above, and even the elevators have unique decor on the outside. Even the boxes and shelves, which are the same everywhere, are done in a space-robotic style. Unique Ichor tubes are also seen occasionally throughout the floor, and the room is structured either as a museum or planetarium with several exhibits about space, each with informational plaques.
Tips and Tricks
Astro's Map is one of the largest maps in the game, with its fair share of hiding places and open areas. Due to the sheer size of the map, leaving the closest Machine to the Elevator to complete last can give time for your teammates to reach the Elevator safely before Panic Mode activates.
The middle areas of this map are quite open and you can be spotted quite easily when doing Machines there. To complete these Machines, you can use Items like Jumper Cable or Trinkets like Vee's Remote to complete these Machines faster. A Toon with high stealth such as Astro can also be used to safely complete them.
To traverse the map safely, it is recommended to go by the sides, where there are many walls and objects to hide behind should you be spotted. There are cylindrical exhibits in some of the side areas, which can be used to safely and easily escape Twisteds. Extra care should be taken with dangerous Twisteds such as Twisted Goob, Twisted Scraps, or Main Characters on the Floor.
During Blackouts, this Map is quite dangerous as there are sharp corners and open areas. Having a Toon such as Vee or the Party Popper Trinket can allow you to know the current locations of the Twisteds. Conserving stamina and not taking quick turns can also increase survival chances on this Floor. Hugging walls and islands is the best choice if there are ranged Twisteds or fast Twisteds, as you can always have a way to break line of sight or dodge on hand, even if you can't see the Twisteds.
For distractors, the best areas to distract include the broken Elevator, the sides of the corridor parallel to the elevators, and at any good-sized island for Twisted Goob or Twisted Scraps. When trying to lose the aggro of Twisteds, it is recommended to keep to the area that you have been spotted in, as running directly into more open areas can potentially attract more Twisteds. Playing as Eclipse can help during Blackouts as she is a light-producing Toon and gains a speed boost.
Trivia
Astro's Map was the first ever main-related map released in Dandy's World. Up until v0.10.1, it was also the largest map in-game. In the Solar System Diorama, most planets are visible except for Pluto, which could be an error due to Pluto being considered a planet until 2006 when it was demoted to a dwarf planet, and the in-universe show taking place from the late 1980s to 2002. Also in v0.10.1, the lights connected to the walls in this map used to stay on during Blackouts — this bug has since been fixed, though some objects in the exhibits still give off a faint glow. This map also typically spawns Items in groups close together rather than spread across the floor, meaning some areas are completely devoid of Items while others have concentrations of 4–5 items nearby.
