Twisted Brusha retains the overall shape of her Toon counterpart but with several disturbing alterations. Her bristles are considerably longer, with Ichor pooling and overflowing around their base. The paint on her bristles now forms sharper, more angular patterns rather than the soft rounded splatters of the original. Ichor stains cover the tips of her bristles, her hands, forearms, and apron. Her formerly introverted expression has been replaced by a broad grin, with Ichor dripping from her mouth and heavy bags beneath her eyes. A purple shadow sits between her eyes, which now feature red sclera, black irises, and red slitted pupils accompanied by crooked eyelashes. When she enters a chase, her expression grows more menacing and her pupils narrow. She carries a paintbrush while roaming, which she wields as a stabbing weapon against any Toon she manages to strike.

Description

Twisted Brusha is classified as a Common Twisted and shares the basic behavioral framework of other enemies in that tier. She patrols the map at a walk speed of 10 and accelerates to a chase speed of 18 when she locks onto a target. She does not possess any unique mechanic beyond her standard patrol-and-chase cycle, which means players who are familiar with handling other Common Twisteds will find her moveset predictable at its core.

What sets Twisted Brusha apart, however, is her exceptionally large detection range. Her circular vision extends to 26 units, her direct vision reaches 100 units, and her hearing radius covers 125 units. These numbers place her detection capabilities on par with Twisted Pebble's direct vision, though her hearing radius falls 75 units short of his. This extended awareness allows her to spot players from distances that most other Common Twisteds simply cannot reach, making her a significant threat in open areas and during Blackouts where visibility is already limited.

Her attention span of 1.5 seconds is brief, meaning she will lose interest quickly if a player breaks line of sight. While her lack of a special mechanic may make her seem straightforward, underestimating the reach of her detection is a common mistake that can lead to unexpected chases, especially when she spawns alongside other Twisteds who may compound the danger.

How to Deal With Twisted Brusha

Twisted Brusha has no unique mechanic, but her defining threat is her enormous detection range. Her direct vision of 100 units closely matches Twisted Pebble's, and her hearing radius of 125 units means she can react to noise from a substantial distance. The most fundamental evasion tactic is to treat her patrol zone as significantly larger than what you would respect for other Common Twisteds. Where you might safely walk past a Twisted Boxten or Twisted Yatta at moderate distance, Twisted Brusha can lock onto you from across entire rooms. Always track her position on the map before committing to any objective, and give her patrol path a wide berth whenever possible.

Her detection range becomes particularly dangerous during Blackouts, where reduced visibility makes it difficult to spot her before she spots you. She can launch surprise chases from deep in the darkness much like Twisted Shrimpo and Twisted Looey, catching players who assume they are safely out of range. When a Blackout triggers on a floor where Twisted Brusha is active, immediately stop moving and listen for audio cues before proceeding. If you must continue collecting items during a Blackout, stick to areas with dense cover so you can break line of sight quickly if she initiates a chase. Her circular vision of 26 units is the shortest of her three detection stats, so staying behind obstacles is the most reliable way to remain hidden from her even at close range.

When planning to distract Twisted Brusha, keep in mind that low-Stealth Toons such as Vee, Brightney, Shrimpo, and Gourdy will draw her aggro from extreme distances. This can work against you if an unaware teammate with low Stealth wanders into her detection radius and inadvertently pulls her away from a controlled distraction. On the flip side, her wide detection range actually makes redirection easier. You can bait her attention, duck behind an obstacle to break line of sight, and send her walking in a completely different direction. Because she can see so far, you have enough room to walk at normal speed while still maintaining a safe gap, which can speed up her repositioning across the map. Coordinate with your team so the designated distractor is the one she locks onto first, rather than letting a random low-Stealth teammate accidentally steal her focus.

For solo players or situations where no dedicated distractor is available, maintaining constant awareness of your surroundings is essential. Twisted Brusha can sneak up on you from distances that would be safe against most other Common Twisteds. Reserve approximately 40 to 70 Stamina at all times so you can outrun her chase speed of 18 if she catches you off guard. Her short attention span of 1.5 seconds means that if you can break her line of sight quickly, she will give up the chase, so prioritize routes with nearby cover and corners. Her Paint Bucket trinket drop is also worth noting for players who are farming specific trinkets, as it may influence whether you choose to engage with or avoid floors where she spawns.

Using an Air Horn or Pebble's Speak! Ability to rescue a teammate from another Twisted requires extra caution when Twisted Brusha is on the map. If she is still wandering and not locked onto anyone, the noise will likely pull her in along with other nearby Twisteds. This can backfire if you only intended a quick aggro grab, as you may suddenly have multiple enemies converging on your position. However, this interaction can be turned into an advantage if your goal is to gather several Twisteds for a group distraction play. Just be aware that any lower-Stealth Toon passing through the area can steal Twisted Brusha's attention even at long range, potentially redirecting her toward a teammate who does not realize they are in danger.

When multiple Twisteds are active on the same floor, Twisted Brusha's extreme detection range makes her the most likely enemy to join an existing chase that another Twisted started. If you are already being pursued by a different Twisted, running in the direction of Twisted Brusha's patrol can result in a two-enemy chase that is much harder to shake. Always plan your escape routes away from her known position. When coordinating with a team, communicate her location frequently since her detection range means she can shift aggro targets rapidly across large distances, and a teammate who believes they are safe may actually be well within her hearing or direct vision radius.
