APPEARANCE

Twisted Brusha retains the overall shape of her Toon counterpart but with several disturbing alterations. Her bristles are considerably longer, with Ichor pooling and overflowing around their base. The paint on her bristles now forms sharper, more angular patterns rather than the soft rounded splatters of the original. Ichor stains cover the tips of her bristles, her hands, forearms, and apron. Her formerly introverted expression has been replaced by a broad grin, with Ichor dripping from her mouth and heavy bags beneath her eyes. A purple shadow sits between her eyes, which now feature red sclera, black irises, and red slitted pupils accompanied by crooked eyelashes. When she enters a chase, her expression grows more menacing and her pupils narrow. She carries a paintbrush while roaming, which she wields as a stabbing weapon against any Toon she manages to strike.

DESCRIPTION

She mostly functions the same as other Common Twisteds, with the only difference being the larger detection range.

HOW TO DEAL WITH TWISTED BRUSHA

Twisted Brusha lacks any special mechanics beyond her exceptionally large detection range, which closely mirrors Twisted Pebble's direct vision range (though her hearing radius is 75 units less than his). Keep this in mind if she spawns during a Blackout, as she can spot you from a considerable distance in the dark and ambush you, much like Twisted Shrimpo and Twisted Looey. If you plan to distract her, be aware that lower Stealth Toons such as Vee, Brightney, Shrimpo, and Gourdy can easily pull her aggro from far away. On the positive side, her extended detection range actually makes redirection easier, since you can bait her attention and duck behind cover to send her in a different direction. This can even speed up her repositioning, as the distance she can see from gives you room to walk while maintaining a safe gap.

If no distractors are available or you are running solo, stay constantly aware of your surroundings since Twisted Brusha can easily catch you off guard if you let your attention slip. As with other Common Twisteds, keep approximately 40-70 Stamina in reserve to outrun her.

When using an Air Horn or Pebble's Speak! Ability to rescue a teammate from another Twisted, note that if Twisted Brusha is still wandering and not locked onto anyone, she may also be drawn in along with other nearby Twisteds. This is a problem if you only intended to briefly grab aggro, but it can be advantageous if you are gathering Twisteds for group distraction. Be warned, however, that a lower-Stealth Toon passing nearby can pull her away from you even at long range, potentially putting an unaware teammate in danger.

TRIVIA
  • She is the third Common Twisted seen with a smile, after Twisted Boxten and Twisted Yatta. Twisted Rudie also smiles, but only in his attack face.
  • Her detection range matches Twisted Pebble's direct vision, though her hearing range is significantly shorter.
  • She appears to use her paintbrush as a weapon, stabbing victims with it like a spear.
  • She is one of four Twisteds that hold an object, alongside Twisted Tisha, Twisted Eggson, and Twisted Soulvester. Twisted Rodger also holds an item, but only in his render and not during gameplay. Conversely, Twisted Brusha does not hold anything in her full render.
  • Her high detection range is likely a nod to her Toon counterpart's artistic eye for detail and keen observational skills, referenced in her Research description as "strong vision."
  • Examining her model in animation tools or in-game reveals a canvas hidden inside her head. Its purpose is currently unknown, as it does not appear during normal gameplay.
