How to Earn Ornaments

Ornaments are earned through several in-game methods during the Christmas Event. Two Ornament Items spawn on each Floor and each one grants 5 Ornaments when picked up. Completing any Machine awards 5 Ornaments. Encountering a Twisted gives 1 Ornament per unique Twisted per Floor. These three methods mirror the ways players collect Tapes during normal gameplay.

Ornaments can also be purchased with Robux at four price tiers: 99 Robux for 300, 475 Robux for 1,450, 925 Robux for 2,950, or 1,500 Robux for 5,000. Past promotional codes such as 1BILLION and FESTIVEGIFT each granted 150 Ornaments, though both have since expired. The Advent Calendar provides an additional 1,700 Ornaments total from daily logins, along with two free Stickers and exclusive Bobette and Ginger Skins.

The maximum number of Ornaments earnable per Floor up to Floor 7 is 32. During 2x Ornaments weekends, all earnings from gameplay sources are doubled, making weekends significantly more efficient for grinding.

Strategies

To maximize Ornament earnings, choose a Toon with strong survivability so you can safely collect both Ornament Items on each Floor and encounter as many Twisteds as possible. Pebble is one of the best choices because his Fetch! Ability highlights Ornament Items, making them much easier to locate quickly. Coal is equally strong thanks to her Scout Ability, which detects and highlights Ornament Items for the entire team rather than just herself. In group play, Coal's scouting essentially guarantees that no Ornament Item goes uncollected.

For Trinkets, Festive Lights is purpose-built for Ornament farming. It highlights Ornament Items with a golden outline every 10 seconds, serving the same detection role as Pebble's Fetch! or Coal's Scout but available to any Toon. Vee's Remote and Wrench help groups complete more Machines per Floor, adding 5 Ornaments per extra completion. Scrapbook reduces your Stealth stat, which increases the chance of Twisted encounters. Since each encounter awards 1 Ornament, a designated distractor running Scrapbook can passively add several extra Ornaments across a long run.

The 2x Ornaments weekend is by far the most efficient farming window. Because all gameplay Ornament sources are doubled, a single weekend session can yield more than several weekday sessions combined. Players with limited play time during the week should concentrate their grinding into these doubled periods. Combining a 2x weekend with Coal or Pebble plus Festive Lights creates the highest possible Ornament yield per run.

Best Toons for Ornament Farming

Pebble and Coal are the top-tier picks for Ornament grinding. Pebble's Fetch! Ability passively reveals Ornament Items, allowing you to sweep each Floor quickly and move on. Coal provides team-wide detection through Scout, which is more valuable in group play since every player benefits. Both Toons have solid survivability, meaning they can handle Twisted encounters without wasting resources.

Beyond those two, any Toon with high Movement Speed and decent Health can work well. Speed lets you cover the Floor faster to find both Ornament spawns, while Health gives you a buffer for Twisted encounters. Toons with very low Stamina or Movement Speed are less ideal because slower Floor clears mean fewer total Ornaments per hour.

Trivia

Ornaments have a number of notable details related to their history and mechanics.

  • Ornaments are the second Currency added to the game after Ichor, followed by Baskets (third) and Pumpkins (fourth). This count excludes Tapes, whose only current use is during runs.
  • Ornaments are the first Event Currency in Dandy's World.
  • You needed 9,100 Ornaments to buy everything in the 2024 Christmas Event, compared to 32,700 in the 2025 Christmas Event — more than a threefold increase.
  • Previously, encountering Twisted Razzle and Dazzle, Twisted Glisten, Twisted Rodger, or Twisted Connie would not grant any Ornaments. This was because those Twisteds are stationary and must be activated. Despite Twisted Glisten becoming hostile in Panic Mode, he still did not award Ornaments until the bug was fixed.
  • When earning Ornaments, the game plays the same sound effect used when purchasing something from a store.
  • Festive Lights is specifically designed for highlighting Ornaments on the Floor with a golden outline every 10 seconds.
  • Qwel buffed Ornament earnings after community feedback: Machine completions increased from 1 to 5 Ornaments, and picking up an Ornament Item increased from 3 to 5.
  • In an earlier version, the player Statistics screen displayed the label 'Christmas2024' instead of 'Ornaments.' This placeholder was confirmed by the developer and fixed in v0.6.3.
  • Ornaments are the second Event Currency to receive doubled earnings during weekends, following Pumpkins.
