Overview

The Greenhouse features green walls, plant pots, bookshelves, and various nature exhibits throughout both variants. Both variants have a much more open, but self-contained layout compared to other floors. Variant 1 includes trees, plant exhibits, and areas near elevator spawns with posters, plants, and other decor. Variant 2 features cactus exhibits, multiple exhibits on one side of the room, portraits of the Toon Handlers on a wall, plant pots, bookshelves, and benches. Variant 2 was reworked in v0.12.1 alongside the Warehouse's third variant.

The Greenhouse also features a background ambience that includes a day ambience with nature sounds — birds chirping and, in some cases, squirrel noises — layered alongside the same eerie ambience found in the Rainbow Rooms and Gift Shop. In the second variant, the wind can be faintly heard.

Strategies

Like most maps, the Greenhouses are quite dark. While this isn't usually a problem in most other maps, it's particularly dim in the second variant, likely due to the narrower widths and light's interference with such layout. In addition to this, both Greenhouses tend to have low light near corners, making cramped Machines all the more challenging.

The Greenhouses are both very open (though not as much so as the Warehouses). This can make Machine placements generally unsafe; both variants have open Machines, and the second variant can have Machines in the center, where it's tightened via benches and surrounding walls, making escape hard. Obstacles to hide behind are rather scarce on these floors, and if any exist, they are usually in awkward places or too small to be ideal for safety — looping around them means Twisteds will turn around quickly and likely get a hit. Use walls and corners to gain distance instead of relying on blocking sight.

With the scarcity of islands and wide or long spaces, be very wary of ranged Twisteds like Twisted Goob and Twisted Scraps, as they can spot you where you cannot really take cover. Twisted Pebble and, to a lesser extent, Twisted Brusha, can also be issues due to their high detection ranges not being easily interrupted by the spatial layout.

Trivia

Several notable details are documented about the Greenhouse floor type.

  • While on the Greenhouse, you can hear birds chirping, and in some cases, squirrel noises.
  • In one of the Greenhouse variants, you can faintly hear the wind.
  • In the second Greenhouse Variant, a Dandy cutout can be seen through the window of one of the Elevator rooms. Furthermore, a puddle of Ichor and a trail leading to the door behind it can be seen underneath the Dandy Cutout.
  • The second Greenhouse variant was reworked in v0.12.1, alongside the Warehouse's third variant.
  • On the variants' release, they were programmed to be rarer than the Diner, though whether or not this was changed is unknown.

FAQ

How many variants does the Greenhouse have in Dandy's World?

The Greenhouse has 2 variants. Both feature open layouts with green walls, plant pots, bookshelves, and nature exhibits. Variant 2 was reworked in v0.12.1.

What are the biggest threats on the Greenhouse floor?

The Greenhouse's open layout makes it dangerous with ranged Twisteds like Twisted Goob and Twisted Scraps, as well as Twisted Pebble and Twisted Brusha who have high detection ranges. Obstacles are scarce, so use walls and corners instead of trying to block Twisted line of sight.
